We lived in Grants Pass for 30 years, 82-2011, and were happy to raise our three kids there.
Hello, may I ask where you moved from? Was it California?
I rode my motorcycle into Oregon and pumped my own gas. My car though no. No sales tax but high property taxes
These two are making it seem like you’ll be arrested if you even try to pump your own gas LMFAO when Actually you CAN pump your own gas especially when they are busy helping other customers the attendant is always ok with it. Also for Grants Pass I pump my own gas all the time and I’ve done it a few times in Medford

She died. :(
Who die?
Grew up in the Rogue Valley. The worst aspect is the number of people who have moved here, particularly from Cali.
Watched this video,i notice that you didn't take a tour of lovely Riverside City Park, ohhh that's right, the people of Grants Pass, gave this park to the drug addicts, opps!??
Literally do not move to Oregon.
Great video, I didn't know about cranberries! Some other industries that could have been included are the Tillamook cheese factory and strawberries, craft beer and whiskey, and construction which is statewide
What about community centers, ways to meet other people (including seniors)? Also, what’s political demographic situation?
EPHS 1998 , after high school I joined the labor's union Seattle local 242 , November 2001. I came back too be close to family was Tired of the lone wolf bachelor life in a big city that I did not grow up in and did not know anyone., However, when I came back to Oregon. It is nearly the same accept, much smaller in comparison to Seattle. But I tell you what. It is 10 times bigger in attitude and jerks. I cannot believe how absolutely ruthless people are in this area. Now it wasn't like that when I was in high school But oh my God, is it like that now? People drive like absolute monsters. Like tailgating was part of the curriculum... A guy rear-ended me on the expressway. He must have been steep patrols, breathing of some sort because they would not give me his insurance. They would not take my insurance. They told me if I wanted to know who he was. That I would have to call the steep patrol office. So I called the super troll office. They said The case number. That that was given to me by trooper. Dean, they said this is a fake blank. Case file number and the file attached to it is completely empty in the statement. The guy that hit me admitted to roadraege cussing me out. I didn't do anything admitted to having bad breaks and hitting me. Unable to stop in a 100 feet. His words and yet State Farm. Local branch here deemed it. My fault come to find out. They were also representing him as well. So of course, why wouldn't they deny? Because they would have to pay when we are the other. So they deny the claim based on nothing. I mean, how can they blame me when he admits having bad breaks? Which is a violation of 815 dot 125. And another state statute there are 2. What about brakes? One of that equipment? Steve petrol gave a fake case file. They didn't even take a statement from him for 2 months. And yet they deem it my fault and they wouldn't even bother to hear my appeal. They said I'm not gonna hear it and hung up on me. There's nobody to help me is town is awful now
A lot of what you mentioned existed twenty years or longer ago. It used to be lüsh green and rainy. There has always been an air inversion problem. Other things that are gone. Fine dining. Four and five star restaurants are gone. Ashlands famous outdoor Shakespeare theator is still here. There is Britt Festival is still here. But not the type of concerts you mention. The entire Greenway you mentioned is basically gone Along with a good part of the little town of Phoenix. The Alameda Fire destroyed that in 2021. That fire was set, not a wildfire. But, there are horrible forset fires near by every year, it seems. Housing is off the wall high. I don't quite understand the always having to drive to somewhere. Ashland is 13 miles from Medford. There is no bumper to bumper traffic to deal with. This was a far nicer area when the economy was based on timber Now its based on retirement and excellent, if huge medical industry. Climate change is evident as it is everywhere. Homelessness is an issue, i agree
People need jobs keeps people from stealing gas to its a SMART thing to have

A whole lot of drugs and speed traps -not recommended!
Born in Grants Pass in 1938. Sure is a different place Now. Lived on "D" street on a small farm there and worked at Swede Basin lumber company for a time till it closed. Used to dive from the railroad bridge into the Rogue River for fun on hot days. My sister and I spent time trying the catch fish in a wash tub under the Cave Man bridge and pick-nik in the park. Delivered 158 Daily Courier and sold a few out front of the Piggly Wiggly for snack money. 6th street was two way US 99. Both my girl friend and I could go to a movie (double feature and a cartoon) for two bits with a nickel left over for a root beer float to share. (Two bits is 25 cents). Wonderful place to grow up. You guys who live there now, try to keep it clean and remember 1955. Ken
Not happening,, GP is a human litterbox now....instead ,people in this town are more concerned about you picking up dog crap, than getting rid of all the needles/rigs. Cause anywhere you park,NEEDLES!!!
Super helpful info… thank you!
The root cause of people going homeless in Medford? Simple, the parents kicked them out. Everyone hates everyone. And everyone is trying to ruin everyone else’s lives. Their arrogance is matched with their ignorance. Their mental health declined because people have shown them, no one cares.
A lot of driving? It takes 15 min to get across town. Maybe 20 min during rush hour. A lot of these "negatives" are what we LIKE about Southern Oregon. We have one of the best programs for the homeless. The greenway is a priblem though. Cell phone provider: US Cellular is on par with AT&T.
Out of touch much?
Cry me a river of tears Pathetic
Have you ever thought about the possibility that not all homeless people have chosen their place in life I am sixty five and lost my house trying to save my wife from cancer and I lost her too. A corporation bought the house I have been renting since I lost my house The new owners have been raising the rent ten percent per year and now I am paying $1100 a month and I have a total of four hundred and thirty dollars after the rent is paid so when I become a new homeless person I hope I don’t run into a jerk off like you I will explain everything to you so you can understand reality Until then reconsider your assumptions about others
make up your damn mind
Jon Davis hangs-out at gay bars.
Stay out of Medford. It's been taken over by organized crime and communists. These assclown realtors just moved to Medford and they don't know what they are talking about.

maybe Methford isn't a place that yuppies will be comfortable. Have you considered Bellevue?
Hmm, I guess you didn’t do any research before moving back to Medford OR! So much for being a real estate agent 😎
😪 Promo SM
I appreciate the honesty in this video. It’s more useful than getting an bull shit story.
Looking to relocate in 2 months…
Medford also tends to have THE hottest temps in the state. Plus the air inversion traps smoke, smog & fog.
Where do forest fires happen? I’ve never been to Oregon
@@Grogu01 Forest fires can and do happen all over the state. From the coast to the eastern desert land. And not just the forest. In 2020 we lost a large portion of two small towns (Phoenix and Talent).
If u don't like Medford maybe u can suggest an other place
I notice on Zillow that Lakeview OR is cheapest place to live in Southern OR.
Glad I moved out of that $hit hole, I feel much less depressed since moving away last year, thank goodness I got laid off from my job so it forced me to gtfo
