I could never have imagined that i would get to hear the theme from the Adventurer, since that show such a little flash in the pan. But that theme, along with the theme from The Persuaders - also by John Barry - has remained my favorite for years. The melancholy, almost yearning, quality of both these themes (The Persuaders, The Adventurer) was a hallmark of John Barry and his penchant for composing in minor keys. RIP John Barry. Thanks for putting it up!!

To explain to foreign viewers outside the Uk who think we might be crazy reminiscing about this stuff...In the 60's and early 70's there were only 3 channels in the UK and very little TV during the day. Consequently there were long periods of the test card with light music and the occasional test film so that TV dealers could sell sets. Many British kids at home on holiday watched these films hundreds of times and know the test card and engineering announcements music well too....

Really. This was the story I least hated from McCoy's first season. :P I'm glad they include these on the dvd releases; some may feel who cares, but I get a little enjoyment out of them. :)

After hearing Nick Briggs' voice coming from the Daleks for so long, I actually did a double take when the voice sounded funny. Oops, I should finish watching the Classic Series.

It took me a while to start watching Doctor Who, but before I watched it, anything I saw of it was with David Tennant as the Doctor, so that's what I was expecting. So when I saw Chris Eccleston, I was a little uncomfortable at first, but I grew to like him so much that it took me two whole seasons to get used to David Tennant again. I wanted Eccleston back, one season wasn't enough.

or building what lovehina96 said, if she came back only that one time to play the part, have a scene whare she is looking through the doctors tardis archives, finds all companions since her, finds an image of rose and regenerates in that image( keep that part of her personality going) then goes off again

Had this as a Kid. Daleks ran on the tracks and you rotated the central pod when it was your turn, which moved the Daleks. If a Dalek touched a player character, it was exterminated. Game wasn't that brilliant after the novelty wore off, but the Dalek figures lived on for many a battle against Lego characters, and even fought with / against Darth Vader in mighty battles that stretched the length of the living room carpet in a terraced house, not so far away, but a long time ago...

@damo007revenge I completely agree. If Grade though that the production values of Doctor Who in the mid-late 80s were so 'creaky', as controller of the BBC at the time, he was in a better position than anyone to inject more money into the programme to correct this. In my opinion, he should never have been made controller in the first place, as he was biased against one of the BBC's most long-running and frankly adored programmes. The BBC only supports DW when its in its heyday, as it is now.
