@@kq0r3 dude, when you want to find a song, you have 3 options, 4 actually, you are now using the 4th option, 1 option: google the lyrics, 2nd option, go the movie credits or imdb and search for the songs used in the movie, 3 rd option, shazam or google song finder. I shazamed it for you, it says the name of the artist is "Lavorel" and the song is "Like Lestat" but I cant find the song anywhere so its probably just a simple tune/melody that was written for this movie.

This version of Daniel got it from Lestat for the low low cost of a new corner panel and a slight raise in his insurance premium 😂

The only thing unrealistic about this scene (apart from, you know, VAMPIRES) is how calm everything is in that car. You cannot even stand still on the Golden Gate bridge without nonstop 20-50mph winds coming from the pacific. Hair whipping like crazy, it's like being in a constant wind tunnel. Yet their hair is mostly untousled, the tape player is audible, and Lestat can speak in a conversational level instead of shouting. Lol!

I always interpreted this scene as Lestat finally getting over Louis and realizing that there's other fish in the sea. Louis may have been the 'hero' of the movie but, let's face it, he DID spend the whole movie whining! Lestat could do better.

In the books, it is different. Lestat writes in TVL that he created Louis to be his conscience, to mete out year after year his punishment for failing with Nicki and to a fair extent, Gabrielle. As the VC continues, they become the eternal couple with Lestat coming back to Louis again and again, even saving his life and making Louis more powerful.

This scene to me, is proof that Louis loves Lestat. He knew that Lestat was following him, and he agreed to sit down for the interview and told a loooonnngg story purely to give Lestat a chance to catch up with him and feed. He's just too proud and pretentious to admit that he cares more about his lover/ partner than he does about humans - otherwise he would have marched the interviewer directly to that ruined mansion, rather than waited with him and buggered off. And if you don't believe me that Louis is in love with Lestat - there's a montage of him wandering through the world alone until he comes to the modern day. He watches Superman fly with a transfixed look on his face, and in narration he comments on how delighted he is to be able to see the colour blue again. Lestat can fly - and, er, remind me, what colour are his eyes again? (also they had a baby together, come on.) Unlike Louis, Lestat can openly admit what they are to each other, so yeah, Lestat is absolutely right to call him out for whinging, when he has literally just lead him to food.
