    You're awesome at this, the only thing that I don't like about this cover is that when you play over the original song, your guitar cancels out with the guitar in the background. Just a thing to remember, still, this is a very fun cover and I like it

    I think everybody picked this track 😂 ... I wanted to but I couldn't play this good. I had to pick the slow one. It's so cool how we get to hear everybody's playing styles and it's so unique for every single person. 😊 Rock on man, this had some heft to it! 🎉

    how do your new seymour duncan p90s feel? just got a harley benton ja baritone too and I love the pickups on it already but I was wondering if the seymours are a crazy difference, great playing!

  • @KuylersUsername
    @KuylersUsername3 ай бұрын

    Thank you man! I would 100% recommend these pickups. I thought the stock ones sounded great but the excess noise/feedback was such a nuisance. The P90 Silencers maintain that stringy single coil tone but completely cancel out all of that. They’re like a perfect middle ground between a humbucker and P90.

    Thanks for the feedback dude. I definitely intended for them to be a bit over the top. Been super digging the newest Knocked Loose single bc of how compressed to fuck and clippy everything sounds so I was going for that kind of vibe with this mix

    @@KuylersUsername They indeed do sound killer. You can do that too. Your guitar tracks do need more high mids, but be aware, that your bass track then will collide with them. In the Knocked Loose single the guitars cut through the mix, because they have enough high mids and the bass does not get in the way. Your guitars sound too dark. I can only 'hear', what your play with my eyes, because i see your fingers on the fretboard xD Keep up the great work.

    15 19 28 38 56 74 I normally have this guitar tuned to E and the 74 is perfect for that. Tuning down to C# was pretty floppy but still manageable. If I ever go down this low again I have a spare 90 that I wanna try out.

    Great playing! I'm having a heck of a time finding strings for mine that are long enough that aren't bass VI sets. Any brands/sets you recommend trying out?

  • @KuylersUsername
    @KuylersUsername7 ай бұрын

    Thank you! I ordered several custom sets from StringJoy and seriously can't recommend them enough! I originally got a set of 16-80 from them and that was a bit too much tension for my liking, so I settled on a 15-74 set (what I had on it in this video) and it's been perfect for me.

  • @HansyPants184
    @HansyPants1847 ай бұрын

    @@KuylersUsername nice! Thank you so much! Do their regular strings have enough winding to make it to the nut or do you have to specify your scale length somewhere in your order? I put a set of Ernie Ball 8 strings on mine but the windings go down a wrap halfway through the 1st fret on the 80.

  • @KuylersUsername
    @KuylersUsername7 ай бұрын

    @@HansyPants184 as far as I know, their strings are good to go for any scale length! I didn't have to modify anything with either of the sets I bought.

    HB makes some really good stuff. How is the playability to you, fret ends, any weird noises from the pickups etc...Also awesome job, it sounds great.

  • @KuylersUsername
    @KuylersUsername9 ай бұрын

    Thank you! This is the third Harley Benton I’ve owned, and so far they’ve all punched far above their weight. This one was decently playable out of the box but I swapped the tuners pretty much instantly. The stock ones were okay but I just really prefer Hipshot locking ones on everything these days. The pickups sound totally fine, but they’re noisy as absolute fuck, I pretty much have to always have my hardware noise gate (Zuul) on and then a software noise gate to keep it tame. Think I’ll be swapping them out for some Bare Knuckle Brute Force P90s. Frets were all good, no sharp ends or any other weird QC stuff. It came with 14-68 strings tuned to B, I ended up going a touch thicker to 15-74 for the Loathe tuning, and after a solid setup/neck adjustment/etc. this thing plays like butter and rivals my Mexican Fenders easily
