Thank you and thanks for the video!
What you didn't mention which would have been nice is what to do about the gas line. Some of us are not professionals so we're not sure what the protocol is. You simply cap it with some kind of a plug or is there another way to secure that so that you can use your other gas appliances?
Yes, cap it. I found the cap at the local hardware store. I removed my fridge to replace the cooling unit, the new cooling unit came with a way to cap the gas line but I bought a different cap so I could cap the “T” instead of the short gas line. You can take that short gas line to the hardware store to be sure you have the correct fitting for the “T” or the gas line depending on which way you choose to go.
Excellent video with detailed information! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge. 😊 [July 25, 2024]
You're a gentleman and a scholar. You took your time to explain and demonstrate everything so that even a beginner can follow along, and I appreciate that you talked about some of the possible pitfalls or issues that could occur. Great instructional video, thanks for posting!
Glad to help
What is the length of your garage here?
15’
Thank you for this. I bought a wrap from Flagwix as well. Time for a change.
Thank you so very much, kind sir! This video was exactly what we needed. Thanks for getting straight to the point!
My pleasure
Great idea will try What do you do about the condensation?
We’ve not had any problems with condensation.
Good job on the vid, but what about piping that does directly into the tank?
Can you be a little more specific. What is it you are asking?
Ok this is really helpful however how do you put it back on?
It’s just the reverse of the removal.
@@TheWanderingSteeles I have tried every which way to do this and it will not go back on so I will hopefully get a tech out to help me. Thanks for all your videos - they are helpful.
Your video has a mistake in it. When installing the valve you need to install the valve piece with the rubber o-ring first and then install the retaining ring that you then rotate counter-clockwise to lock into place. The way you had it, the foot petal is the only thing holding the valve in place and the pressure causes the foot petal to pop off like someone else mentioned in the comments.
You are absolutely correct, I’ve added a big warning in the description because the rest of the video is correct & I believe useful. Thanks for being this to my attention.
Thanks for this video. I had a big bubble and didn't know why. I removed the air and filled it back up and the bubble would come back. I couldn't find any issues on this subject, only how to fix leaks. After watching your video, I opened up the mattress and found that the side support foam slid under the air chamber, lol.
I'm in the same predicament with my toyhauler. Thanks for the video!!
Good stuff 👍🏽👍🏽
This is very helpful thank you
Thanks for the info
Good idea. Just found you on KZread, I like your short videos. Happy camping
Thanks. Please help me grow by subscribing & sharing with your friends. Happy camping to you too
It actually stays in override for 2 minutes. You do not need a second person, in fact you can leisurely walk back into the camper to push the slide controls with time to spare.
That has not been my experience. And is not what I was told by LCI. I suppose they may have changed the software in new units.
Excellent tutorial. Thank you for posting!!
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you, I need to put in a new 30 amp outlet.
Thank you SO much!!!
My pleasure.
what do the brown and black wires go to that you show at the 2:35 time in the video
I have to honest, I really don’t know. I believe, since I didn’t disconnect them, they are part of the cooling unit. My video on removing the cooling unit may explain what they are.
Love the avatar
The outlet wiring tester shows whether any outlet is wired correctly. The black pushbutton below the lights is a GFCI tester. It will trip the GFCI and any downstream outlets.
Both true.
Our Thetford is leaking from the flush pedal as well. Many thanks for the part number and installation video!
Thank you for the video. Very helpful
Thank you for this informative video! Wish us luck for replacing ours 🙌🏽
Thank you for sharing your experience.. it helped me a lot 🙂
good luck getting it out the door unless its a straight shot with no cabinets (bends) in front
I moved this fridge around 2 corners & into the garage of my Momentum toy hauler. It really wasn’t that tough. I did remove the crisper trays to help with clearance.
@@TheWanderingSteeles nice work! we ended up cutting it in half to get it out. But we got the job done!
Thank you guys so very much. This was so helpful exactly what I needed.
Thank you!
Ooooooh I hates that wabbit
Does anybody use the ramp as a party deck while camping
Yeah, I think some do. In the beginning we did use it some but not so much anymore. Our ramp is not really good in the rain.
I followed the steps you showed, but after I lined everything up and attached the foot pedal it seemed like it was in place but when I pushed down on it to test it, it popped off. I've attempted to reattach it 7-8 times with the same results. What am I doing wrong?
My video has an error in it. I installed the new valve in the wrong order. The part with the “O” goes in first, then the locking ring. I don’t know why mine worked but it’s wrong nonetheless. I’ve added a warning at the beginning of the description.
Like to have seen the new metal threads
LOL, Trust me they are there. It didn't occur to me while making the video to show the threads. If you click on the link in the description the pictures there do show the metal threads.
Does the base need to be the same model #? You have two different model numbers listed (in title and in description). I need to replace my 42072 but I can’t seem to find that specific model number.
The model number in the title is for the toilet itself. The model number (part number) in the description is for the base. The link in the description will take you to that base on Amazon.
I want to thank you for this video. I just replaced both sink drains in my 5th wheel. You step by step instructions were right on point. I don't have any family here to help me, so these videos are a life saver.
Glad it helped
That is NOT A PANTRY That is an rv refrigerator Yes some models do have lights in them
This one came with a LED strip light but had a manual switch, I just added a momentary switch on the door now the light is automatic.
What size fitting for the gas line if I want to close it permanently as I’m going with a residential fridge after this
To be honest I’m not sure but I think it’s a 3/8”. I replaced it with an adapter that came with the conversion kit I installed.
just installed the dutch aire 120 volt dual compressor system for my Norcold 4 door 1210. awesome system. got down to -4 degrees in freezer in one hour. the new units now do not use any of the norcold controls at all.
I do mention that in the vides’s description. I’ve also done a video on the installation of the universal controller that JC Refrigeration is using to replace the NorCold controllers.
Pro tip, drain black tank before removing toilet. And while you're at it, might as well add a shut off valve to the water supply line. In my case I have pex so you will need to buy the pex crimping tool which is expensive but mandatory if you ever need to do any repairs on your lines.
Good suggestion on draining & flushing the black tank, I just covered the opening for the short time the toilet was removed. Even better suggestion on the shutoff valve, I even mentioned a couple of times in this video. Check my videos on adding shutoff valves in a RV. I also have a video covering tools & spare Pex parts.
Let them figure it out. Then they'll feel achived. Let's Go
Thanks for sharing!
You bet!
I'm learning and you provided new wisdom!
I’m glad I could help.
What silicone product did you use?
Anyone that is rated for the bathroom. This is the one I used. amzn.to/3urXF9u
Does the fin fan aid in preventing frost from building up making the need to defrost less often or does it just move the air around?
Yes it does slow down the formation of frost. Some even say it prevents frost all together. I think it has to do with how well your seals seal & how much humidity there is.
thank you good video
Glad you enjoyed it
Awesome sir get er done
Thank you!
what is a water softener why does it need to be portable and why does it need salt, I'm so confused
A water softener removes certain minerals from water to soften it. Salt is used to regenerate the resin inside the softener so it can, again, remove those minerals.
Potable water softeners are used by RV ers
