    Hi, I appreciate your information about the adapter. I ordered one and the new one is the same as yours except it has the thin metal ring inside to protect the camera (better). I also ordered and received an SLR Magic rangefinder. The adapter is perfect. It will accept any 77mm filters or adapter rings. My problem is that the SLR Magic rangefinder threads appear to be different (maybe pitch). The new adapter 77mm, my step up rings 77mm, and 77mm filters will not screw onto the SLR Magic rangefinder. I contacted SLR Magic. They told me that they have sold thousands and I am the first to have this problem. I don't know the pitch of their 77mm threads. The locking ring is locked onto the lens. I tried loosening it but only separated the front of the lens from the back. Any suggestions?

  • @PaulKepnerProductions
    @PaulKepnerProductionsАй бұрын

    Did you buy your Rangefinder brand new or used? Is it the more expensive version with the witness marks or is it the standard version with only the normal and near markings?

  • @reedhinton236
    @reedhinton236Ай бұрын

    @@PaulKepnerProductions I bought the SLR Magic rangefinder new from SLR Magic. It is the one with the witness marks. Please note that I don't have a problem with your adapter. It is 77mm just like my 77mm adapter rings and 77mm filters. SLR Magic said that a lot of times step up rings, filters and adapters are not accurate. Are all of my 77mm defective? The other problem I have with the rangefinder is that the locking ring came locked tight. I tried to loosen it but in the process, the front of the rangefinder became separated from the rear. I have requested a refund. I see many KZread episodes that show people buying and installing adapters and the SLR Magic rangefinder screws right in. Since the rangefinder is advertized with 82mm front threads and 77mm back threads I assume that they are standard pitched threads. The 82mm threads are correct. I really want to use this rangefinder for my Schneider 2X anamorphic lens on my Lumix GH5. Please don't waste any time on this as I have requested a refund. Thank you for your interest.

    I've always had a passion for tape decks! I really like audio equipment, and today I also really admire receivers from the 80s, I have the L D pioneer. I started making my recordings in the second half of the 80s. To this day I make recordings, listen to my vinyl records and watch my LASER DISCs, I continue to value this experience of enjoying quality sound, a unique experience... Sometimes I remember the good times, a journey through TIME... It's a shame there aren't more technicians who do maintenance around here... Good luck friend!

    Hi Paul. I have done various tests with a few diffentent cams. I found that filming for youtube in 4k was a waste of time as the video did not show up that much better than 1080. Plus it takes forever to upload. I now use a Gopro hero 5 session for awkward spots. A Sony RX100 MK7 for the good stuff & more recent I now have a go anywhere DJI Action 4 of which i think is very good. It is very rugged. It shoots in any mode & has the amazing mag mounts that i can clip off in a second & over to any other mount. Since buying it the other 2 have not been used. The Sony RX100 gives crystal clear video but is a fragile camera for the workshop. Steve

    I first saw a LaserDisc player, in 1981, in Glasgow, Scotland, demonstrating at a well known electrical retailer. The picture was nice and clear. The movie it was playing was Close Encounters of the Third Kind. No one was even interested in it, except me. I thought it was magical and very futuristic.

    My GF's 2010 Honda Fit just turned over to 200K and the underside honestly looks almost brand new. No leaks, no drips, no rust. It is really amazing. Any American car I've had past 200K usually at LEAST has valve cover oil drips and/or some rear main seepage and/or some power steering hose leakage, etc.

    Im in the uk so its called honda jazz here but my 2009 model has started making a scraping noise when starting the engine . The noise is the same as when you turn the key too far by mistake when you dont realise you already started the engine . I think it could be the starter on the way out . Its been doing it for about a year and im starting to worry about the flywheel😢. Anything else that could be the cause ? My fit / jazz currently has a denso starter .

    @@PaulKepnerProductions So… Letus themselves don’t list coverage but a user review on the rental page said they 24mm on s35 sensor with a bit of vignetting. So I guess for FF 36mm or higher.

    Great video I’m going to try to tackle this myself but I already did the plugs and coil packs and it is not an eight hour job lol you could probably do it in less than two hours. You have to take off the cowel and wipers and motor. Also about this starter, if you take out the oil filter, the starter will come out munch easier.
