Good
This is a really sweet test, Im curious how you transferred the video for upload here. Firewire to an older laptop or something else?
How's the mill coming along? Would like to see an update, I also have an index 645. I recently set it up and it seems to be a great machine!
Great video. Hit all the notes I was hoping for, thanks!

This reminds me of the Weird Al song, “Frank’s 2,000-inch TV.”

I just bought one at a estate sale today and for cheap
Fun fact: The movie 28 Days Later (2002) was shot with this camera.
Hi, I appreciate your information about the adapter. I ordered one and the new one is the same as yours except it has the thin metal ring inside to protect the camera (better). I also ordered and received an SLR Magic rangefinder. The adapter is perfect. It will accept any 77mm filters or adapter rings. My problem is that the SLR Magic rangefinder threads appear to be different (maybe pitch). The new adapter 77mm, my step up rings 77mm, and 77mm filters will not screw onto the SLR Magic rangefinder. I contacted SLR Magic. They told me that they have sold thousands and I am the first to have this problem. I don't know the pitch of their 77mm threads. The locking ring is locked onto the lens. I tried loosening it but only separated the front of the lens from the back. Any suggestions?
Did you buy your Rangefinder brand new or used? Is it the more expensive version with the witness marks or is it the standard version with only the normal and near markings?
@@PaulKepnerProductions I bought the SLR Magic rangefinder new from SLR Magic. It is the one with the witness marks. Please note that I don't have a problem with your adapter. It is 77mm just like my 77mm adapter rings and 77mm filters. SLR Magic said that a lot of times step up rings, filters and adapters are not accurate. Are all of my 77mm defective? The other problem I have with the rangefinder is that the locking ring came locked tight. I tried to loosen it but in the process, the front of the rangefinder became separated from the rear. I have requested a refund. I see many KZread episodes that show people buying and installing adapters and the SLR Magic rangefinder screws right in. Since the rangefinder is advertized with 82mm front threads and 77mm back threads I assume that they are standard pitched threads. The 82mm threads are correct. I really want to use this rangefinder for my Schneider 2X anamorphic lens on my Lumix GH5. Please don't waste any time on this as I have requested a refund. Thank you for your interest.
That part snapped in two today, hoping this is my saving grace
I wish you the best of luck! This one is still rock solid since the day I put it on there.
NICE! what was the taking lens?
It was a canon FD 28mm f/2.8
@@PaulKepnerProductions Thanks!
I've always had a passion for tape decks! I really like audio equipment, and today I also really admire receivers from the 80s, I have the L D pioneer. I started making my recordings in the second half of the 80s. To this day I make recordings, listen to my vinyl records and watch my LASER DISCs, I continue to value this experience of enjoying quality sound, a unique experience... Sometimes I remember the good times, a journey through TIME... It's a shame there aren't more technicians who do maintenance around here... Good luck friend!
What is the silver support are you using for the lens ?
It is a custom rail mounted lens clamp I machined for the lens. I have made several for other people in various sizes.
The way it should have been in the first place, right!
AMAZING
Vigneting?
Hey Paul! just picked one of these up! just wondering if you could shed some light on how to use this with a taking lens? haven’t found much info on the adapters for it!
Hi i cant find ANY information anywhere about how to replace the specific STARTER TO BATTERY CABLE for honda fit (2012). Everyone talks about replacing starter or replacing battery terminals but nothing about the battery cable that goes down all the way to the starter. Can you help?
Hi Paul. I have done various tests with a few diffentent cams. I found that filming for youtube in 4k was a waste of time as the video did not show up that much better than 1080. Plus it takes forever to upload. I now use a Gopro hero 5 session for awkward spots. A Sony RX100 MK7 for the good stuff & more recent I now have a go anywhere DJI Action 4 of which i think is very good. It is very rugged. It shoots in any mode & has the amazing mag mounts that i can clip off in a second & over to any other mount. Since buying it the other 2 have not been used. The Sony RX100 gives crystal clear video but is a fragile camera for the workshop. Steve
Hey Paul if you have "A Summer Place" on Laserdisc, could you please post a small clip of it so we can see how cool it looks? Thanks!!!
Any tutorial how to modific this lens for use woth BMPCC4K?
Windows Media player is your problem... use a different media player cuz Windows Media player will not let you do what you're trying to do...
special edition? ew
I first saw a LaserDisc player, in 1981, in Glasgow, Scotland, demonstrating at a well known electrical retailer. The picture was nice and clear. The movie it was playing was Close Encounters of the Third Kind. No one was even interested in it, except me. I thought it was magical and very futuristic.
Using one for my college they have it just sat there left to die as no one else is using it, hopefully I'm gonna ask if I can possibly buy it off them or something
My GF's 2010 Honda Fit just turned over to 200K and the underside honestly looks almost brand new. No leaks, no drips, no rust. It is really amazing. Any American car I've had past 200K usually at LEAST has valve cover oil drips and/or some rear main seepage and/or some power steering hose leakage, etc.
You lied rails are terrible with bumps
had the L1 for a while and then bought XL1 both new . Sample of the XL1 attached. kzread.info/dash/bejne/hnuN1MajoLeXeaQ.html
Thanks a lot for your video
Got a tutorial to how you did the graphics in the beginning? I could use it for a commercial.
That's a nice setup. Do you know if the BMCC 2.5K has a 4:3 anamorphic mode?
No, but Arri 4:3 has!
That looks awesome. Does the BMCC 2.5K have a 4:3 anamorphic mode?
Anyone have trouble getting the right part from Autozone? Jeeze- three times in and out. Won’t fit my FIT. 2009 Sport Fit
So the problem I’m having is trying to find way a baseplate that that will fit my cage . I currently have a wooden camera cage. So I need to find for base plate so I can put rails. I have a V mount with the D tap.
Might try reaching out to Wooden Camera and see if they have a baseplate for your cage and if not maybe they can point you in the right direction.
It is not eady to remove the starter motor.no space available to operate spanners.
Awesome setup! Would be cool to set a follow up video about all the lenses that you use.
Thank you. I could certainly make a video about the lenses I use.
Can you upload the video to Google photos and then download to where you want?
Im in the uk so its called honda jazz here but my 2009 model has started making a scraping noise when starting the engine . The noise is the same as when you turn the key too far by mistake when you dont realise you already started the engine . I think it could be the starter on the way out . Its been doing it for about a year and im starting to worry about the flywheel😢. Anything else that could be the cause ? My fit / jazz currently has a denso starter .
Great video thank you
Im glad you liked it 🙏
What is the widest full frame lens you can use with the 1.8x Adapter?
I dont remember exactly. I sold this adapter a while ago now. If you look on the Letus website I believe it lists the widest lenses you can use with it in full frame, s35 and M4/3.
@@PaulKepnerProductions So… Letus themselves don’t list coverage but a user review on the rental page said they 24mm on s35 sensor with a bit of vignetting. So I guess for FF 36mm or higher.
Coffret ultra collector
I’ve been wanting one of these for years and I finally got one! (Zeiss Anamorphot 63 2x). It looks like the max distance on the focus ring is 25 feet? Did you set it there for infinity focus? I think I’m going to have start with a DIY single focus.
I owned this and a GL1 back in the day (when they were new), both were awesome at the time.
Hi Paul hi Paul
dang skeeters
Great video I’m going to try to tackle this myself but I already did the plugs and coil packs and it is not an eight hour job lol you could probably do it in less than two hours. You have to take off the cowel and wipers and motor. Also about this starter, if you take out the oil filter, the starter will come out munch easier.
I found on online $80
I want to get the pansonic s1 but still use my nocticron.
