Where do you buy?
These are available at www.dreadlocks.com.au and we offer worldwide shipping or you can purchase from US based website www.ohmylocs.com
Umm
May I ask what setting the flat iron is on? Like the hottest possible? Thanks!
Yes it is in this case, as long as it's hot enough to produce steam from the damp cloth it will work.
Nobody ever talks about how to get rid of the stiff prickly part of the dreads when you install them. I have human hair that is 10 inch dreaded 16 inch loose ends. The dreaded part is very prickly.
Hi! It may be that they are in need of conditioner. Whilst we don't recommend the use of regular conditioners because they leave behind too much residue and cause build up, dread specific conditioners ensure the hair is nourished and hydrated and this can often make them feel softer. We have a range of conditioners at www.dreadlocks.com.au.
Does anyone know if i can do this for synthetic dreads like connecting two synthetic dreads together for length?
Yep, as long as they're crocheted they can be joined in exactly the same way.
This is going to take me a month 😂 I need dread friends to come help me!
Do you ship to US?
Hi there! Yes, we ship worldwide. Shipping to US is currently taking about 10 business days. www.dreadlocks.com.au 😊
Thank you so much for this video!
Question! Can you keep these in forever or do you have to take them out?
Hi! Yes, dreadlocks which are crocheted in can be worn permanently :)
As a person who does this. why is the hair at the end not wrapped around. It looks like crap when all the hair at the end is sticking out like that.
This video was made to primarily demonstrate the blanket braid. There are a number of ways to finish off the ends - the neatest way is to use thread rather than elastic so that the ends can be hidden completely and wrapped neatly. We have plenty of videos at www.dreadlocks.com.au.
Bonjour Ou puis-je trouver cette serviette svp ?
This is not hair style it's black culture core rooted in centuries black identity and spiritual roots
Historically, dreadlocks were worn by a multitude of cultures which spanned the globe. To say now, that dreadlocks belong to one culture serves to divide, not unify. Plenty of Caucasian hair types will dread on their own (not just matt but actually form dreadlocks) once brushing and conditioning ceases. And finally, here in Australia, a number of African Australians provide dreadlocking services with a large part of their clientele being white - to rule dreadlocks out as a 'hairstyle' open to anyone who appreciates it, will impact their livelihood. In their words, dreadlocks belong to the person whose head they're on.
But how is someone without locs gonna do a promotional video for loc shampoo? Seems sketch…
At the time of filming , this was a partial head of dreads.
🎉thanx
Can you do the same with crochet dreads
Hi - crocheted synthetic dreads typically don't need setting like the twisted dreads. If they need tidying up, use a crochet hook.
How to prevent slippage?
Promo`SM 💔
What kind of thread do you recommend?
We recommend our nylon extension thread - it's discreet and very durable. I'll pop the link below and we dispatch within 1 business day and offer worldwide shipping :) www.dreadlocks.com.au/dread-tools-other/431-1887-nylon-thread-for-dreadlock-extensions.html#/59-colour-blonde
Ouch
Would this work on 5-6mm dread extensions?
Hi Nicole. Yep. It's a little trickier to get a bigger hole but you can definitely still do it with the latch hook and this will then allow you to pull a section of your own hair through the hole. We also can do custom orders and build the loop into the top of the dread. If that's of interest, please email [email protected] with your specifications so we can quote. Thanks, Lucy
What do you do if your hair is longer than this and it wants to cover the whole dread? Lol.
Lol omg get outta my head☺☺☺ My hair is down to my ass and I was gonna ask the same question
Do you have any videos or tips on how to crochet double ended dreads?
Our How To Make Dreadlocks video will show you the backcombing and crochet method we use to make dreadlocks and extensions. Just leave both ends undreaded and wispy to make them double ended.
How many do I need to have the look like the one shown at the cover?
I depends on how we big your head is but a rough estimate would be 30-40 extensions. We have a huge range available at www.dreadlocks.com.au with worldwide shipping and fast dispatching.
Omg thank you I did single ended dreads they were blonde and they fell out because we didn't do it right I will be re doing then thank you fur this video helps a lot
This is not a good way. I have been doing dreads for years and this method isn't good
Don’t do this dumb ass shit to your dreads 💯💯💯🤣🤣🤣
Thank you so This quick and fast video just to the point love it and appreciate it
Fantastic. No super long intro, jumps right in! Thank you so much
Why not try to hide the loops better?
Is there a way where you can make the extensions to last forever
Sadly no,have to do this process every 2-3 months(depends on hair type)
IKYFL
😂
You really don't need the first rubber band.
Look, its marge simpson
Best video ive seen explaining this ! Thank you
Nice
I recently installed a set of locks (only used 20 of the 60 bought some reason) and the loops at the top are really obvious. How do I fix that?
Dread dust ?? I've never heard that term 🤣
Thank you for this. I put my own synthetic ones to my real ones and had them half way up my real ones. As I took them out I ended up pulling a lot of my real hair (dread) out with it. I’m definitely gonna try this very soon
Tyyyyy
If you put your hair into Cornrows and then use a crotchet hook to feed the dreads through the cornrows it looks much nicer and you don't see ANY of your own hair. I use to do it this way but hated seeing my own hair braided in as it looks so un natural.
Are you able to get the extensions out without doing a ton of damage to your hair?
Simple! Thanks thank much <3
For how long do they last in that hair length?
Usually a week or two. If installed really well and your own hair tends to be a bit more textured versus soft a silky, you might get a bit longer but the longer your hair is the longer you can wear temporary dreadlocks.
@@thedreadshop399 okay thank you :)
I really want this done been growing hair for two years now .shoulder length but thinner on top can I still do this and how much plz
Yes, your hair sounds long enough to braid them in and this will hold longer than the method used in this video for short hair. We have more videos and information at www.dreadlocks.com.au.
Really unhelpful camera angle
Love them
can you braid the extensions like this and then crochet them in and leave it like that?
Yes, these can be braided in and left for 2, possibly 3 months depending on how fast your hair grows or alternatively, they can be crocheted to the bottom of your own dreaded hair (your hair needs to be dreaded first) and left permanently. For more information, head to www.dreadlocks.com.au.
This reminds me of the “staircase” braid we used to do for gimp bracelets.
Link?
How much do you charge for something like this?
Degrading men should just grow their hair naturally.
I can't tell. Do these look real?
No they don’t they look terrible
