when I was 5, my brother, who played mc ps3 edition, told me to play the game with him. I don’t remember a lot, but I remember the old tutorial worlds. I loved those, we spent hours trying to leave the tutorial area without actually completing it. We tried climbing over, digging under, digging through it, everything that we could think of. I also remember accidentally swordblocking, and we spent hours trying to find out how I did it. Thank you for teaching us how to relive these moments!

So this doesn't appear to be working for me at all. I am 100% disabling the account linking thing in the menu but whenever I try to launch minecraft on my alt account with ONLY the disc, it thinks its the digital version of the game and doesn't require the disc to run after installing. I'm a bit stumped why this is the case as there's physically no way it can detect a digital license from my main account which is signed out If this only works if your primary account has never touched or purhcased the digital version, then that really sucks since i just wanted to get the missing editions trophy on my main. Ive tried this method using 2 alt accounts as well, both of which were newly created and had never touched minecraft before. Such a shame
just delete the digital version on the disk should work :)

I'm glad this still works, however I want to be able to play editions on my MAIN account to earn the editions only minigame trophies instead of an alt. Its pointless loading the game on an alt account if your physically unable to do this on a main?

It worked for me, you just have to follow all the steps and you need the Minecraft ps4 edition disc otherwise it won't work
One of my friends didn’t have the disc version but was still able to play editions because he had Minecraft before it was bedrock

Another way to do it is to simply buy a Minecraft PS4 Edition Disc. It enables the editions button by default.
Not true, have one and it doesn’t give it to you immediately even if I played before bedrock edition
