Your a legend for making this video I've been pulling my hair out on my 2016 mt 10 wondering why the cruise control light comes on but when I push set nothing happens just watching this video I went and looked at my front brake and seen the brembo logo on master cylinder and brake fluid pot so I pulled in and out my lever but only hear one click so what is it I need to buy from you I live in New Zealand by the way

The amound of times that I have watched this video over the years to troubleshoot my 2017 MT 10 that I bought brand new is hilarious. Cannot thank you enought mate! Recently I developed a flashing cruise control light that occurs a few minutes after I start riding. I am OK with doing work on my cables, so after I will try my cleaning all the switches and readjusting everything I will DM you to purchase a few of your micro switches, should this is something that could help me with. I live in Scotland and I will ofcourse cover any cost. Many thanks again! It takes balls to help others in the community in the manner that you do! Hats off to you sir!

  • @Cregtech

I was unable to locate any. The ones I tried did not have the contrast needed and gave a poor effect. I found one that works and just used that. There is now a company called colour clusters that do the film pre cut. I'd recommend them as they're cheaper aswell as precut.

@@Cregtech Thanks for the reply, I'll look into that! There also plenty on amazon at around £15 a sheet, wonder if they'd be any good too compared to the cheap ebay stuff. The problem with buying precut, is if you mess it up the first time!

Great video thanks , any idea's how to get rid of condensation in the dash or is that normal, is there a permanent fix for it or does everyone have condensation in dash in colder weather , I guess sealing it up would make it worse as it needs to breath

Just come across your video. My FJR1300 Gen 3 uses exactly the Sumitomo 13 pin connector as your bike although 2 of the pins are not actually used on mine. I just bought a new connector and wired up a pass-through plug and play connector using short lengths of cable with the ST2 simply connected into my plug and play connector. I have made no tappings into or changes to the original bike wiring at all. If I want to revert back to original, I simply unplug the pass-through and plug the original Sumitomo connector back together. By the way, on Yamaha bikes like ours which have the flashers controlled by a multifunction module rather than a relay, the common signal to the indicators, which you are already accessing, is a switched live so you can use that for both the ST2 signal and the ST2 12v +ve. You do not need to access any other connector. Also, it's much easier and to put the foam bits into the two slots in the outside of the white housing rather than fiddle about with tweezers trying to get them into the inner part of the mechanism. The foam is then squashed between two large flat surfaces rather than by an edge profile and can be more easily judged. You are working on the wrong side of the latching mechanism. The foam discs cannot move if you slot then into the right place. Just got to the end of the video and I see you've now moved the foam discs to the correct location. You can access those two slots without taking the latching mechanism out.

Interestingly I bought a connecter to do just that but it was the wrong one and I gave up as what I had was working. Do you have the model or description of the Sumitomo connector as I have a new old MT10 and will be fitting the STS to this over the winter.

Hello.....can anyone help please... My yamaha mt-10 has an issue with cruise control not working.light is flashing on dash..and engine management light on. There is a box under the seat right in front of the key hole but under the seat ( inside ) It is clicking. I took it apart and put it back together as the cogs weren't turning inside. That stopped the clicking but now the cruise control isn't working. Coincidence? Or is that the cruise Control regulator or whatever.. Any help please.
