  Most of the times I think about it it's because I see one of those stupid memes about how great Roman roads were compared to modern roads.

  @@MrZcar350 Ok, but there's probably a reason why you see those memes... and I don't. I get it, we're a sample of 2, not very significant, but I have _never_ seen a meme about the roman empire, or the roman roads, or roman whatever with the notable exception of the meme about how often men seemingly think about the roman empire... And since the modern internet is basically a drug dispenser giving you more of what you're already addicted to... I just wonder how does one end up in a place on the internet where "the roman empire" memes happen. And again, just to be perfectly clear - I mean "happen", not "are prevalent". I have never seen one ever, so it's not a matter of scale - it's binary. I'm just intrigued... (the only time I ever think of the roman empire and the only memes I've ever seen about it is through the prism of The Life of Brian and I seriously doubt that even counts xD)

  @@peterpodgorski mostly I see them in one of three places: 1. TTRPG groups 2. Car croups 3. Regional groups complaining about roads in the area, e.g. complaining about PA DOT. It's typically a picture of one of the preserved sections of the Appian Way contrasted to a pothole in a modern road which a caption along the lines of "Romans could build roads that last thousands of years. Then the engineers got involved."

  😢 Well it's sad that people died on 9/11 so they make sure they will never forget and remember the twin towers and they will remember their wives and husbands and are reminded of them that they loved them and they will always be with them within their memories and they will never forget (RIP) 😢

  How exactly does one give the Oath of Office to someone who has already taken the Oath of Office and then violated it? I would invite the Judge to read _The Sweep and Force of Section Three_ with a critical eye. The 14th amendment is not enforced by a court finding, it is enforced by those of us who have sworn an Oath to defend and protect the constitution -- it is *our* Oath on the line and if we mistake Trump as eligible for the office, it is *we* who are failing our Oath. I would expect that Oath to require all those who take their Oath seriously (elected officials, members of the military, etc) to refuse to recognize a re-elected Trump, and anyone who does to be in violation of their own Oath.
