    Hi Ken, this system is combatable with synchromesh gearbox? The is no damage in synchros in clutchless downshift? Thanks,

  • @mcneillmedia

    Νίκος I still used the clutch normally. This just eliminated the need to blip the throttle (heel/toe).

    does we need to press clutch when we using blip shift ? also does this blip shift universal fit with any H pattern transmissions and its work with cut ignition from ECU controlling

    I like the irony of having both a rear wing and no roof lol

  • @mcneillmedia
    @mcneillmedia8 жыл бұрын

    Actually, quite effective. Because the wing extends a full foot on each side beyond the cockpit, it has access to clean air. Can't argue that.

  • @the-real-zpero
    @the-real-zpero8 жыл бұрын

    +Ken McNeill well I suppose without a wind tunnel it's hard to debate either way usually lots of eddies form due to the lack of a roof

  • @mcneillmedia
    @mcneillmedia8 жыл бұрын

    +ZPERO How about a Radical? Ever driven one of those? That's an open top too. Don't need a wind tunnel to argue its performance. As long as the wing gets clean air (even on each side over the rear wheels), down force will be realized at speed. The center of the wing doesn't matter much.

    +Ken McNeill well Radicals are definitely pretty radical (lol), I'm pretty sure one of the SR8 versions holds the nurburgring record and they only have about 430 HP... Eh idk you might be right

    Thanks! Powered parachutes are the ultimate toy for exploring. Check out my other PPC video. See if you can hook up with some local guys that do it. That way you have guys to show you the ropes and also to fly with. Requires VERY calm conditions so you're flying these at dawn or at sunset typically, unless you get a dead calm day.

    The only difference is some safety equipment that quite honestly after 15 years doesn't work or hold up to tech inspections. Couple that with the fact that in the US, no one really wants a Rover platform. Now the car is worth way more.

    A lot of folks bring their own video camera, and there is usually a few guys with a roll bar mount you can borrow. A word of warning though... best to have a lens filter (clear or UV) to protect the actual lens of the camera.

    Great question though! I should note ALMS champion Gary Curtis is driving and speeds in the spec racer reach only 100-120 on this circuit. Gary can drive the course at MUCH higher speeds, so this is kind of slow for a guy of his skill.

    If you've ever attended a performance driving school (this is not a racing school), gloves actually impede the feel of the road while learning high speed driving techniques (and are discouraged at first). Once you begin wheel to wheel racing where risk is elevated, then the appropriate fire protection is recommended. Think about it. What will gloves do to protect you is you're not wearing a complete Nomex racing suit to accompany it?
