Great vid. Anyone have any experience or anecdotes about getting pregnant after a hysteroscopic myomectomy for a submucosal fibroid? Scarring is my main concern.

I just want to point out that I super appreciate the way you still validate her (very reasonable) frustrations while explaining the facts that disprove her misinformation. 👏👏👏 I feel like that's SO important for reaction videos like this, and it's a shame that there aren't more people out there with the ability (or desire) to provide the most accurate information they have from a neutral perspective. This is EXACTLY the reason why I keep coming back to watch more of your videos, so thanks for always being the sympathetic voice of reason in a sea of heavily biased "medical professionals" and "influencers." 🙏💖

All of y'all dodos misunderstood the assignment. The video is called "where do babies come from" NOT 'how babies are made". It was a conversation for elementary age kids to understand how they will be getting a new sibling. Sex ed is a different video for older kids. But I can see kow it's generally fun to poke at Christians.

2:40 I don't buy that this lady in the 18th century had this many babies on her own, but people did easily live until and past 50. This idea of shorter lifespan comes from average life expectancy and that is misleading. People got sick and usually they died from most of the stuff we don't. Be it cancer, organ failure, severe injuries or just infections. But that didn't mean they all died young. Just that 5 out of 10 children died before age 10 (don't remember the exact number but ballpark). This brought down the average lifespan. But many lived until their 70s or even longer sometimes. Peasants more so than nobles as they had a healthier diet including veggies and whole grains (nobility lived on meat, white bread and pastries at the time). And some peasants married their daughters young (especially if they had many). But that custom was actually more common with nobility.... still...You had your period, you could be married. Children were not viewed as now. They were little humans, so they often worked along parents from young age (even my father worked with the cows alone since age 5-6). However... Most girls were married off around age 18-22. Boys tended to be even older (mid too late twenties), usually when they could prove themselves by fully mastering their father's craft (even if it was being a farmer) and or went to be a soldier for the land lord (which happened often but they usually came back unharmed - warfare was different back then). Still, young marriage happened, too. And not having contraceptives or tv meant getting pregnant whenever... So if someone tried a lot and was fertile, back to back pregnancies could easily happen. People also had no idea of their own biology. Peasants often didn't know of things like waiting after pregnancy (before having sX again)... An average woman got pregnant 15+ times but most of those babies died. And people had genes for twins back then, too. But it seems very unlikely to have triplets or more - just by looking at how could one carry those to full term... Or... How that doesn't happen naturally... Or how one woman would have a hard time caring for so many at once... Or how probably that would be seen as the devil's work... What I could see as possibility: lady's unmarried daughters got knocked up and she claimed they are her babies, too - to avoid shame. Maybe even getting pregnant at same time as her daughter... But for sure she didn't birth 60+ kids on her own.... With quadruplets... Right....😅

I actually learned a lot about from your video. I never connected before that a medicine needing to have fewer risks to the alternative would make male birth control research so hard cause the men aren't the ones getting pregnant. It's such an obvious pitfall, but it never occurred to me. Hopefully, that gets changed.

The healthcare team took care of her, delivered her baby, and made sure both her and the baby were thoroughly taken care of, all while most likely being overworked, understaffed, and underpaid. Even with all that Candace still decided to make a video chastising the healthcare she got. Ridiculous.

Few things show how incompatible the christian faith is with reality and how harmful it is to let these cults have political influence over others than how they try to police womans bodies. Like its literally just "well women were enslaved in the bible so therefore it must be a good thing to enslave women". Like they admit constantly that they literally cant imagine a morality based on anything other than a deity telling them what to do. Such that they assume its impossible for those outside their religion to have moral strength of character at all because by theor own personal definitions, without a deity their morals become completely arbitrary. The idea of evidence based morality doesnt even enter their minds, and thus they get to live willfully ignorant lives where the consequences of their actions genuinely do not matter until the moment where somthing unpleasant enough happens to them personally. Causing them to be shocked (however temporarily) out of their stupor with the realization that actions have consequences.

So if a mother decides she doesn’t want to use her body to care for her newborn child, she’s allowed to do so and allow her baby to die? She’ll go to jail, and no “my body autonomy” won’t hold up in court.

What about common side effects that are not necessarily life threatening or extreme but are subtle and may very likely interfere in one’s quality of life? Such as mood swings, altering ones level of attraction, etc. Women should be given the space to consider that as those are almost inevitable effects of altering ones hormonal expression.

Thank you for having the courage to make this video. Unfortunately, commenting from the perspective of July 21, 2024 after the Republican national convention, I am very pessimistic that despite everything you say here 40 to 50,000,000 women in this country will either vote for Trump or will not get off the couch to vote against Trump and he will get back into office where he can do even more damage to women and our democracy in general. I hope New Zealand is far enough away legally, and geographically from the United States to protect you and your family from the anti-abortion forces in the United States. Obviously the anti-abortion forces here are willing to allow women to die needlessly and have no care for what you present in this video. I do not doubt that if they find a way to take revenge upon you for presenting videos like this, they will.
