@@emmasmith3697 thank you Emma. Glad you enjoyed the videos. I am feel the same. I will always remember you too. It was so nice to meet you. My hike wouldn’t be the same with out meeting you and the lads. Thang you.
i was parked right by you in a stormy blue mx5 nc, I think this is from July as that was my first one. I'll be heading back for the August one so if I see you I will make sure to say hi!
@@AMundaneLife nice. Thanks for watching. I might be there. Always fun evening at C&M.
Which trail you like more ggw or whw?
@@vvs3796 I must say I enjoyed the GGW better. It was quieter trail. Didn’t see half as many people. WHW was very busy, but still enjoyable. I went back a few year later and didn’t it again.
Have you done rob Roy way?@@Backoutthere
@@vvs3796 Not yet, but will do at some point.
That's a nice set of wheels! Can't go wrong with oz's. I also noticed you got some goodies for one of the galants, looking forward to that grill install! I've been trying to find one of those but it's not easy. Awesome video as always, greetings from Belgium!

Never fails to impress me… I remember so many times as a kid hearing the maroons going off (before pagers) in Barmouth N Wales I would run to the inshore station or just around the corner you could see the larger lifeboat station with its ramp . To see volunteer crews running out of shops the local cafe or chip shop or in cars honking their horn to clear traffic. Wow heroes all of them
Hi Charles, brilliant again mate, Sandwood Bay looked nice and moody in the mist. Congratulations mate, just that final push to the cape. Great that you’ve had companions to keep up the morale. All the best mate 😀⛰🥾🏕️🏴

Hi Charles, another beautiful day in terms of weather and scenery, absolutely stunning. I bet that beer tasted so good. 😀🍺 All the best mate, see you on day 14 😀🥾⛰🏕️🏴
@@DAoutdoors hi Dave. That beer 🍺 made all the difference. Liquid joy. It was another tuff day but very enjoyable. I would love to be back there. That’s for watching.
Very helpful. I set off in 3 weeks (mid July ‘24) so all comments about track and camp spots are appreciated. (at 75 years I’m expecting to find it twice as challenging as you are finding it.). Thanks.
@@briandunning2974 thanks. Have a great hike ;).
Hi Charles. Amazing again. I still can’t believe how lucky you have been with the weather. All the best mate, Dave 😃⛰🥾🏴👍
@@DAoutdoors yep felt very lucky to be honest. Thanks again Dave.
Good morning Charles, excellent stuff again. Nice to hear you had a pleasant experience at the Oykel Bridge Hotel. I have heard a few on you tube say they were pretty rude, so nice to hear they were good to you and Malcolm. All the best mate Dave
are they accessible to the public?
Yes you can watch the launch.
Hi Charles, brilliant stuff mate, some cracking views on that section. Shame you couldn’t get in at the Schoolhouse but o bet you had a great night in Oykle Bridge. You’re all doing brilliant mate, keep it going! 😀⛰🥾🏴🏕️
I'm starting it on 25th June Wish me luck : )
Enjoy it. It’s epic
@@Backoutthere Lake district circular route is really good too if looking for shorter hike.
Morning Charles, nice one. Everyone talks of the really steep decent down to the road at Inverlael. Haha Another dry day mate, you are doing well, I bet you enjoyed your rest day. 😀
I love this place I always come 2wice a year here we coming again 1st week kids break up
Hi Charles, the views from Shenavall over to An Cheallach are just stunning. You are so lucky to have it on a nice evening! All the best mate Dave 🥾⛰🏴
Hi Dave. Yes was very lucky with the weather. Awesome place.
Stunning view from the Bothy. Love that area ❤
👍👍
Morning Charles, a tough but incredibly beautiful day, loved that, like you I think that looked the best day. I lot of people don't go that way on their trail so it was nice to see you go that way. All the bets mate Dave
Hi Dave, Yes wanted to go through all the tuff bits. It was a great day for sure. Tough, but great. Would I do it again ? Maybe. Depends on the day. Might be walking the CWT again one day.
Hey Charles, lovely watching your experience on the trail! I met up with Lennert at Durness campsite, you were about one day ahead of me for the whole trail (oh, and that was me in the tent you saw there next to the bothy, haha!). Looking forward to the next videos, I'm loving maptime :).
Hi. We did wonder what happened to you. Thank you for the comment. How did you enjoy the trial ?
Hi Charles, even in the poor weather how beautiful is the landscape. So loving watching your journey, keep it going mate, All the best Dave 😀⛰🥾🏴
Welcome back. Enjoy!
I replaced all bulbs my self, upgraded to the best possible, its so easy to replace them in passat 2015,awesome car to drive too✌️ great video
I agree. ☝️. Great car so far. Oil change this weekend.
@@Backoutthere after service reset check your next one,i dont know my car showed me 4500 miles next service,i do service every 6000 miles as it should
Definitely a place to visit
Brilliant stuff Charles. You have to love the falls of Glomach, what a place. Keep it going mate All the best Dave
Cheers Dave. I was glad once I got through there. So many stores of the falls being dangerous. Wasn’t bad at all. Although in wet conditions it would be a different story, but that can be said for most of the trial to be honest. It was an amazing place. Will be going back for sure. 👌
tarn- lochan
fun factoid for you. Cape Wrath is from the gaelic [cape] Parth, and "parth" means "cape". so cape wrath is "cape cape". Hourn means "hell" so you started out at loch hell. named so for the same reason as Geln Dhu. the steep sides of the fiords make them dark and foreboding. Nevis is "heaven". youre getting into the true highlands now. i may be biased as its where i call home. good luck with the weather mind the greenhead horse flies on the Inchndamph side they will bite you through your clothes
Hi Charles, superb stuff again mate, beautiful scenery as always in the Scottish wilderness. I believe those horses are the deer stalkers horses for bringing the dead deer off the hill. All the best mate, keep it up Dave 😀⛰🥾🏴
Awe ok. Didn’t think about that. Make sense about the horses.
Woah! Does the light in your grill stock? Never seen one before
It is a aftermarket item. Made many years ago by a British 🇬🇧 company. Very rare item.
@@Backoutthere damn!
Was it pressure treated? How is it holding up after 4 years?
Yes it was. We have varnished it. Felt on the roof came off in a storm. Replaced that. Other than that doing good.
@@Backoutthere Do we need varnish if it’s pressure treated? And is it safe for to stay in the pressure treated cabin? I heard these chemicals are not very good for health. Thanks
@@Backoutthere also did it shrink and created gaps between logs after a while?
Sorry for asking too many questions, I am looking to buy 4.5 X 3 m Winchester Log cabin from Billyoh. Just wanted to be sure if it’s a good choice
@@maziz80 doesn’t need to be varnished. Just looks nice. Don’t know about the vapour to be honest. I don’t live in it.
Hi Charles, well done mate, another day ticked off. Some absolutely stunning scenery. The remoteness is epic. Keep it going mate, all the best Dave
Thanks Dave. Epic is the correct 👍 word for the views. I said “wow look at that view “ so many times.
