    This is the work around on the internet so far... 1. Boot Windows into Safe Mode or the Windows Recovery Environment 2. Navigate to the C:\Windows\System32\drivers\CrowdStrike directory 3. Locate the file matching “C-00000291*.sys” and delete it. 4. Boot the host normally. Found here: www.arnnet.com.au/article/2552611/crowdstrike-issues-a-fix-to-falcon-sensor-bug-after-global-impact.html

  • @SomeoneElsesCloud

    I think certifications will definately help build your skills and get your foot in the door! It also shows to potential employers that you take initiative. Start with the Az-900 fundamentals, but if you are comfortable, I'd jump straight into the Az-104. Its one of the harder exams because its so broad, but take your time, study, build labs and from there you can then decide on the path, Developer, Security, Archtect etc learn.microsoft.com/en-us/credentials/certifications/posts/new-role-based-certification-and-training-is-here Also check out this link, you can earn 50% off Microsoft certifcations: developer.microsoft.com/en-us/offers/30-days-to-learn-it/official-rules

    Do you think its worth getting more than one cloud cert as someone trying to break into the industry or is the az 104 enough?

  • @SomeoneElsesCloud
    @SomeoneElsesCloud5 ай бұрын

    Personally I would just get the Az-104 and if you don't have experience, I would look for cloud projects to build a portfolio and then aim to get your foot in the door, starting with a support role or a Cloud Engineer role if possible! Unless you plan to go the developer route, then I would be recommended the Az-204 (I heard its pretty tricky though) but getting more certs wouldn't mean much without no experience like the Az-305 (in my personal opinion) but if you are finding it hard to get your foot in the door for an extended period of time, then more certifications don't hurt! Hope this helps!

    Hi I have one question : I have created one variable group in azure devops and liked to keyvault and retrieved key vault secrets to variable group after that I want to use those variable group stored values in terraform configuration I tried with .var and replace tokens but still not working can you provide the code how to do this config

  • @SomeoneElsesCloud
    @SomeoneElsesCloud5 ай бұрын

    You would probably need to pass the secret directly to the command line, but I am unsure if the secret will be exposed in the console, something like: terraform apply -var="secret=$(keyvaultsecret)". You could check out this doco from Thomas Thornton it might show you the way you wanted to do it? thomasthornton.cloud/2021/06/24/storing-and-retrieving-secrets-in-azure-keyvault-with-variable-groups-in-azure-devops-pipelines/

    Thanks for doing the podcast - I'm a new subscriber. I saw you mentioned Bicep being more prominent than Terraform at ExpertsLive - are you keen on Bicep as an IaC framework instead of Terraform on Azure? Haven't had a chance to play with it as I've been working in GCP for the past little while so Terraform is my thing, but playing with Azure again now.

  • @SomeoneElsesCloud
    @SomeoneElsesCloud7 ай бұрын

    Hey Alex, thanks for the support! Yes it was, I guess the marjority of presenters were Microsoft folks. Bicep in my opinion feels like Terraform in a declarative PowerShell language lol I haven't used it much to be honest as I use Terraform Enterprise at work. So I have not dealt with it in an enterprise environment, they spoke about aka.ms/carml which is a bicep module repository, which has a lot of developed resources, but with every product, there will always be pros and cons. Also I think the size of the environment might also matter. But I think there could be a shift away Terraform, well at least Terraform Enterprise / Cloud due the increase in costs. I do like the fact that with Bicep, which is practically a wrapper for ARM, it means you get all the features as they are released rather than wait for an AzureRM update.. Also I am yet to play with Az Api, I might try and build a lab with it and see how it is. I think most companies are adopting for Terraform as its agnostic across clouds. Bicep is obviously limited to only Azure. Cheers, I don't think I really answered your question but those aremy ramblings.

    @@SomeoneElsesCloud Nah thanks heaps for the comprehensive response. It's funny - since I posted this comment Mitchell Hashimoto left Hashicorp... I wonder what's going to happen to it all long-term. I think I'll skill up in Bicep just to be prepared ;)
