    Not sure what settings I have wrong... but no matter the wood thickness it only engraves, doesn't cut.

    Have you did lather I’m looking at getting this this laser machine the 10 Watt for making hat patches at vendors shows and there’s nobody that has did a video with leather and also no one shown how long it takes to engrave instead of spending it up if you would make a video or even just give me information on how long it takes if you do I would appreciate I don’t want to buy the machine and the air purifier if it’s not gonna work for what I need

    I have engraved some faux leather key chains. Works the same as wood. You must do tests to determine best settings before engraving the real products. Be warned, I have heard many say engraving leather smells very bad.

    If you use isopropyl alcahol in a spray bottle and mist it over the epoxy, it pops the bubbles. I use it when i make dominoes.

  • @Poor_Mans_DIY

    Great tip. I also use about 5-10% denatured alcohol stirred in the epoxy to thin it out. The bubbles on my projects are from the air pockets between the sheets of wood I glue together. Bubbles often times come out of the seams and stick there without making it to the top. Popping them with toothpicks is my only option. LOL. We thank you for sharing the wonderful tip.

    It actually started chipping within a few months, but only in a few specific locations. Doing some research, I realized it was chipping where car tires sit when parked. Turns out, tires get hot from friction when driving and caused the chipping, but the rest of the floor was great. My garage floor is torn up all over because I use it as a woodworking shop. I am constantly dragging around equipment, dropping heavy things, etc. That being said. I stand by my decision to paint it as I did. Note: the edges of my garage, where I do not walk or work on, still look good!

    Thanks so much for this video. It’s a great idea. I would like to do it for my bedroom closet, which is 48 inches wide and 96 inches tall. How did you order it? Did you list the width as the height and the height as the width? I’m trying to understand how you Ended up getting the bracket at the top of the closet for what would’ve been the side of the shades

  • @Poor_Mans_DIY
    @Poor_Mans_DIY13 күн бұрын

    We purchased these as custom blinds. There were a few companies that custom make these to order. When placing the order, you provide measurements and if the shade will be inside the window sill or outside. Although we used it for a closet, we simply indicated it was for an inside curtain and they provided the proper hardware/brackets, to mount it in the closet. Thank you for the wonderful question

    Hi, great video, What were the products and ratios for that thing you applied before you engraved the Paw patrol character to make it engrave thicker and furthermore do you need to leave that to dry before you engrave?

  • @Poor_Mans_DIY
    @Poor_Mans_DIY13 күн бұрын

    I apologize for the delayed response. I initially had issues with engraving. The images just did not appear dark enough so I tried the chemical to help make it darker. In all honesty, I am leaning towards adjusting the laser power and speed to get it darker. It takes too long to apply chemicals and let them dry. I am no longer convinced it is best option. Thank you for watching the video and for taking the time to type a message.

    It is a Name. Just Poor Boy restaurants that make a ton more money. LOL. The idea is to show how you can save a ton of money by doing things yourself. Our ceiling caved in because of a water leak we were not aware of. Contractors quoted $8000+ to repair everything. We did it ourselves. We purchased some "expensive tools" you refer to at a cost that was significantly less than to pay Contractors. When we finished the project, we ended up with some nice tools. We saved money by purchasing expensive tools and this could work for poor peopleas well. 😀

    this is pretty nice, but I hate the fact everything is going 'app' based now. I just want an old fashion base station with a monitor. Having the app for remote viewing is nice, but Im not trying to have my phone running an app all day

  • @Poor_Mans_DIY
    @Poor_Mans_DIY28 күн бұрын

    I definitely understand and respect what you say. There are actually some ways you could utilize the cameras without an app on your phone. I believe you can use this with an Amazon Echo Show. There are also ways to install phone apps on your computer. By doing so, you can watch the camera without your phone. However, this camera is not meant to watch for long periods. it is solar powered and the more it records, the quicker the power is drained. Thank you for watching our video and for the taking the time to leave a comment.

  • @Poor_Mans_DIY
    @Poor_Mans_DIYАй бұрын

    I get that a lot. I too did not have a ton of tools. If I had major project needed to be completed, such as repairing a collapsed ceiling, I was quoted at $8,000. Instead of paying a contractor, I studied on doing the repair and purchased tools I need to complete the task. It was much less than paying contractor and when finished, I had tools that could be used for other things. There were many projects we did because we wanted to upgrade rooms but applied the same principle. Contractors quoted huge amounts. We bought tools instead. 😀

    I had 4 attached but not more than that so I am unable to say for certain. I believe you can add more but the more you add , the.bigger the drain on your phone's memory. Four worked well but I noticed it froze slightly compared to three devices. The more power you have for your phone, the easier it will probably be to add more cameras

    I purchased the l2 36w model and was highly disappointed. The issue with the usb port that is attached to the main board began when putting it together. after about 1 month of back and forth emails (often consisting of redundant questions asking me to reiterate the issue and creating a video, they finally shipped a new board and a video of how to install it. When I was able to get it to run, the autofocus failing issue began. Again with the emails and requests for a video (which had already been sent to them), Atezr began ignoring the issue and began focusing on the next issue (yes, they drug out the autofocus issue that long) in which the laser would periodically burn through the wood and often would not. Yes, they asked for another video and after another couple of weeks, they said it was probably the lens and they would send another lens. They still were ignoring the auto focus issue (I realized this is a common issue after I googled Atezr complaints). While the lens was in transit, the laser burned up. The flame detection failed and the laser failed to shut off, nor did it return to the home position as is stated in the manual. Now going on 2 months of back and forth emails and multiple photos and videos, Atezr asked if they could send a 5w laser head as a replacement, which I rejected and stated that is far below the actual wattage that I purchased. After another week of emails, Atezr then stated they would send the correct laser head and sent the 5w laser head anyway. Now that I brought this to their attention and offered to send the "toy" laser head back, I get the following email " service.cacberry Wed, Jun 5, 9:02 AM to me "Thank you for your reply. Please change the starting position to the current position, change the original point of the job to the lower left corner, we attached a picture to show it. And then move the laser up, down, left and right, and see if the direction of the motor is reversed ? Waiting for your reply, Nice day." What? THIS is their response? So yeah, expect this to be your support when your machine breaks. I too own several lasers and Atezr by far is the worst support imaginable.
