4:14 Thanks fir the review. The Farrari 512 Sunoco #6 did use different Rear wings depending on what track it was Racing on. Also some unpainted bare aluminum wing is larger and has a deeper dish. This is correct. They used it to create more Rear down force. Also the yellow airbox could be a clear lexan airbox.

(to those that find the video) yes ..a drip of oil in the center armature hole Before testing/running any pancake chassis and the front and rear motor shaft bushings on the inline chassis. The noise boxes are very brittle (of course) and very rare and valuable and a bit pricey to those seeking them these days. AFX made 10 models of the Magnasonic cars which came out in 1978, using at least 5 of the old AFX bodies and paint schemes, and 5 new paint schemes of the others. and a NOTE to anyone finding this video and refurbishing the AFX MT chassis - clean the brush springs (and pickup springs)very well including the ends of them to insure good electrical contact and stretch them to sit as high as the top of the hole or a hair below for best tension and power and speed. Also, boil the oil out of any old brushes by sitting them on an older type stove top coil until the smoke clears or touching with a soldering iron on some cardboard or think pieces of paper.

Greetings from S Africa. Did Carrera not also make a 512M. Of course FLY Car Model made a fake 512M CL (Coda Lunga) in the Sunoco colours. Apart from this "blunder" (on purpose I suppose) the FLY Car Model range of 512S cars from the Berlineta, the Spider and the CL, the scale and proportions were IMO the best ever made and sad to say they never made the 512M. Hoping that SlotIt will bring us the Kyalami winner in the 512M!
