  Thank you for sharing this video. I grew up on Belle Isle & we frequented Scott Fountain all the time. Can't remember how many times we climbed on his bronze statue overlooking the fountain. 😊

  They have the entire ramp and are using it, that’s not called being rude. Meanwhile, it’s not the someone else’s business to decide whether u get to use the entire ramp, which is not only rude, but also illegal as that is intentional obstruction of traffic and should’ve resulted in citations. I bet you’re the person that illegally drives on 2 lanes to prevent people from passing.

  U clearly have 0 knowledge on traffic then. The traffic problem comes from people illegally blocking lanes because they felt entitled enough to decide for all cars behind them where they can go. And zipper merge is much faster than early merge in congestion situations.

  you are the one being the AH, you are to merge behind that red car, the car to your left/behind you is the one that needs to let you in....maybe he was being dopey and thought there was another lane opening, didn't realize it ends.....some times with accel lanes, they don't end.....you couldn't have gone much further anyway.....YOUR LANE ENDED and you tried to pass, rather than fall in behind the red car.....you would have only saved about 15 seconds if you made it to the end of your lane without merging.....

  Ur prob like the red car driver, an AH who thinks your feelings go above the law. Nice job creating excuses for the red car who’s obviously illegally hogging 2 lanes to block traffic behind them, which is a citation. If they really thought it was just another lane to use, they wouldn’t intentionally hit the brakes and stay in between 2 lanes just to create traffic. Also, cars have the right to use the entire on-ramp, meanwhile, the law does not allow u to block lanes because of your subjective feelings.

  Totally… the car illegally taking up 2 lanes to create more traffic, all to stop a car because they thought their feelings were above the law. The drivers on the on-ramp have a right to use the entire ramp, and no one said u had create an opening for them to enter into your own lane, but it’s not your job nor is it legal to block theirs. That’s called entitlement.

  ⁠​⁠@@SuperEightball1 Amazing how many braindead ppl apply straw man saying that using an entire on-ramp is cutting in line. Drivers have a right to use the entire on ramp, and u also have a right not to let them in ( *but u stay on your lane* ), but that does not mean u place your car in between 2 lanes to block drivers on the on ramp behind u, which is ILLEGAL. If u think otherwise, please show me where on the law book does it give u such a “right”.

  The other driver was in the wrong up until around 0:52, then it switched to you being wrong in trying to go around on the shoulder. It's slow moving traffic, the lanes are merged and there is room for you where you are, just get in and slow roll with everyone else.

  At these low speeds it's not queue jumping but zip merging. The person blocking was breaking the law.

  I am in South Korea currently, I have resided for some years in California, too. I have never seen anything like what the blocking car does. Also, I don't understand the comment section either. Everywhere I have driven, in situations like this, it is always zipper merge at the end of the ramp. I am really confused that what this car did is considered passing other cars. Confusing.

  I didn’t know that.. I’m not from Australia, but I wonder if it was either because people shouldn’t be out and about during a lockdown (so no need for crosswalks?), or if it was because they may have been considered a source of germs? The ones in America in my state were not covered, but we did turn off public drinking fountains.

  @@campagc In Sydney the rubbish bins were also covered up. It was like the city was asleep. I think the traffic light buttons were covered to stop the virus having common touch points. But as we know now the virus is mainly spread by airborne ways. Anyway I bet the virus will have the button systems removed and replaced with a hover over sensor like we have in car parking stations now.
