A respectful nod to rule of law, and the law enforcement community - Project WASABI is a fan-based, non-profit which converts classic TV detective shows into spoken-word, enhanced audio dramas. Project Wasabi also produces its own true crime documentary podcasts as well.
If we do our job right - then at least for an hour or so - you'll be transported to another time and place; a world of compassion, "right over might", and rule of law.
Family-friendly unless otherwise noted - Project Wasabi is completely FREE, safe-for-the-workplace, and best of all - the goodies always win!

WOW!! KM - that is such a cool insight! I'd not made that connection - about Peter Falk's glass eye (childhood ocular cancer, i think(?)) The real-life _"Mrs Columbo"_ / Shera Danese is 74 years young, and living in her hometown of Hartsdale, New York. :)
Peter Falk would have had a good voice for radio, had they adapted "Columbo" for radio. I compare it to Casey Kasem, who I think would have made a nice second choice to play the detective.

DUDE - KEITH! I'm honoured; thanks man. I think this programme, *_Candidate for Crime,_* was my second such audio project(?) You'll notice I removed Larry Storch's cameo and the DMV Safety Inspector, and i took a few liberties with his encounter at the gas station. Shhh. Don't tell! ;-) I love Storch - but his scene was too difficult to convey in narration. LoL. Truth be known - or was a little far fetched on TV and darn near impossible (at least for me) to narrate in a way that would sound believable. Wherever Mr Storch is - respectfully, I hope he'll understand! If all goes well, our next programme is due out this Labor Day / 5 Sept. 2022. Hey Kevin. _"What if I killed ... you?"_ Hmm. Sorry. i don't follow. Of course such a phrase could easily find its way into any Levinson & Link project. But i can't recall it being in anything they wrote. Again - i'm not clear on what your initial comment means. LOL / and being the OCD type i am, i'm even trying to find meaning in your ... elipsis. Does that indicate a missing word? What if i killed _all of_ you? What if i killed *_some of_* you? LOL / dude - i'm not saying, "You don't know what you're talking about." What i'm saying is _"I don't know_ what you're talking about." :)
Picture Levison saying it to Link, or vice-versa. They were a mystery writing team, just like the two guys who created Mrs. Mellvllle. So I am picturing Levison saying, "Imagine if a mystery writer (a guy like me) wanted to kill his partner (a guy like you)." It seems to be art imitating life. This two-man mystery-writing team invented a two-man mystery-writing team and pitted them against each other. Presto - a premise for a Columbo episode.
