Hi Luke I sent you an email to your email address about 5 months ago. A lot has changed in the 6or 7 years since we last spoke. Dominic is 14 now. I don't think that you and I are going to be friends again. I have changed and I know that you will try hard at first but eventually you will be frustrated with me and I really don't have time for that.

@pavesgarage I wasn't looking for you to be perfectly honest I was looking for a pajero evo to show Steph so you can imagine my surprise seeing you.
@Philmoon69Күн бұрын
@pavesgarage little bit of an update on our lives. We live in helidon still but now on our 100 acre property in the bush. We are completely off grid for electricity water etc. Dominic is looking at being a engineer in a good school and good grades. Too much time has passed Luke, I was always easy to find Steph's parents never moved etc. Stephs mum passed away 2 years ago from motor neuron (we got on well with Sue in the last 6 years so it was crushing when she died so young. She literally retired then 2 years later she was gone)

How much did these sell for in 1997?

I wonder if the front suspension components are at all compatible with the normal Gen 2s. So from what you are saying, the factory Gen 2s only have 18 cm or 7 inches of travel at the tire in the front?! Or is that at the shock mounting points? Do you think swapping in the upper control arm from the Evo into a normal Gen 2 might work to give a higher operating angle to the upper ball joint thus allowing further droop of the wheel? Also do you think the CV axles were custom to allow further articulation as well or are the CV axles interchangeable?

Work out your resin in grams but calculating the materials you use. Works out better in the future. For example a meter square of 300g fabric might soak up 600g.

The kevlar fluff can also be trimmed off with a fine scalpel blade. To help the bridging, allow the first layer of resin to part cure until tacky then apply the fabric. Will help with getting it in corners. For simple parts like that, you can use vacuum storage bags as a cheap vacuum bagging techniqur for better results. When you do the roof, spend plenty of time getting the fabric into the grooves both on initial lay up and when you start to pull vacuum down. And finally dont start the infusion until you know your bag is leak tight enough.

The one ive been driving for the last month has ~220hp at the wheels with air intake / exhaust / auto. Its such an impressive car. Comes alive at 120kph. My research is that the dakar cars were all auto. I believe the evo was ~400kg heavier than the stock 2 doors.
