  I went to buy hexamine from my usual army surplus store and only found out then it was banned. Bought this "fire dragon" gel instead. It is shit. Liquefies when burning and pishes all ove the place if it is not confined. Crusty black crud left after burning and the plastic packaging has to be disposed of.

  It can be difficult at times. The ember is a very delicate thing to transfer. As you can see in this vid I nearly flunked it 🤣

  Yea ok, Dakota fire pit is definitely doable. Shrooms aren't a strong subject for me, I only know 2 maybe 3 id confidently pick to eat.

  I remember hexamine burners from the army. They were crap. They made your food smell and taste of paraffin. Tea lights, in various configurations according to purpose, work better and last longer.

  Yes, Hexamine can be used to produce explosive stuff, so it is forbidden now in the UK. Next big step will be a complete ban on gasoline, as petrol can be used to make molotow cocktails. And I guess, they are already thinking about making oxygen illegal, as this dangerous stuff is used for every fire and explosion.

  @@greenvalleyoutdoors I’m over the escape and evade stuff,but the brass tacks of survival are shelter,water and fire. So shelter building, water location,carrying and purification,you’re doing bow drill for fire,but magnifying glass for fire could be good? The old right angle torch and wire wool was a fave of mine. As was potassium permanganate and sugar😉 the old map reading is useful to have,navigation by stars using cassiopea and such too. Maybe do a stranded type of scenario and work it into a series? Keep me posted about the camps,I’d love to get up for that✌🏽🇬🇧
