Bonjour! My channel is all about the art of writing and more recently, curating and using your supplies instead of constantly buying. I started what I call my Stationery Minimalism Journey toward the end 2016 and I’m still going strong. I hope you subscribe to stay up-to-date on journal shares, creative projects and TN musings.
I may also share lifestyle tidbits (also on my blog GirlandQuill.com) like tea, my bunnies, nature adventures and travel.
Feel free to connect with me on my social media or even to just say Hi!

i just noticed the whole retail aspect of it. i know for a lot of people this is a hobby they're eager to share with. but i can't help but notice how people talk about products inevitably, like they're selling it. most of the time people don't really mean to sell it, it's likely that people keep asking what is it they're using because they're curious. but what ends up happening is i'm watching someone's journaling experience filtered through the consumerist aspect of it. it becomes a free review for the company.
Wow, thankyou so much for sharing this beautiful and magical find, its so special ❤
What isnyour desk called
A secretary desk.
The sheet music might be meant to be copied and enlarged 😊
Have you ever tried the tombow adhesive applicator? It’s essentially double sided tape but it’s much smaller than a whole roll of tape. My favorite form of adhesive, thanks for sharing!
So gd to hv you bk and congrats on the new baby!!!!
New subbie here. Thanks for uploading. I love clever Fox planners
Every so often, I come back to this video. I finally ordered one. I got it from Bed Bath and Beyond of all places. I thought they closed down, but it looks like they still have an internet location. Well, it should arrived within the week. Thanks for the video.
Thank you for the video. You have a great selection of stationery supplies in each pouch ❤
I now think when it comes to minimalism you Really Need to ask yourself “What’s Actually Meaningful?” Having the Easy and Tidy way? Or Having the Sentimental Stuff on side such as pens and diaries that will help add Meaningfulness to the experiences in Life?
Thanks, Anna! I plan on looking into this company! 🙂
Congrats on the addition to your family. Thanks for sharing!
I have stopped buying dot stickers. I just make colored dots with markers for tracking, and it's working fine. I'd rather spend money on pretty stickers than the boring dots. Also, another idea is to have a shape to represent each activity you're tracking, and then you don't have to carry around markers.
So lovely so see your video Anna. Your videos are also so relaxing. Take your time settling in to your new family routine!
Happy expanding family!!! Glad you are feeling better...glad your are sharing :)
yep, new tomeo (sp?) river paper is not at as good. :( :( :( Have the same problem.

Lovely!
will you do more flipthroughs ?
TBD. My journals are all personal family/photos and I don’t journal just to share on social media. And what isn’t photos is all writing. Maybe sometime in the future when I have time to decorate my pages!
You could use zig color dot markers instead of stickers
I tried it, but it just wasn’t my thing and there aren’t enough colors I like available for me to cover all my tracking. But I love the idea of them!
Congratulations on your new baby. Don‘t worry about your videos they will be there when you are ready. This one is great. I also shop for myself in January after everything calms down so I can enjoy my shopping and purchases.
Congrats on the new baby! It's so good to see another video from you.😊
Congrats on your new baby!! I enjoyed seeing all of your new things. Thanks for sharing.

Always so excited to see your videos. 🖊️ 📚🙂
Me too!
I just got one of these journals and you've inspired me so much by how you use yours. Thanks for creating and sharing such an inspiring video!!
Thank you! And I hope you have fun in the journal.
I just found this 2 yr old video and it is wonderful! Timeless!! I’m just now looking into these journals and truly enjoying watching every second of this flip through, Thank you! 🙏🏽 😊
Girl, I FEEL YOU, even 3 years removed, I don't even care what you're uploading currently, I can't wait to binge your videos and get to know you! (This is the first time I've ever seen your channel)
The glue stick! Oh how sad I was when they discontinued it. I remember it having a very strong smell but they worked so well. I used to get them at Hobby Lobby. I'm with you, had I known they were going to stop making it, I would have bought them all! I realize this video is four years old but did you ever find a replacement that you like as much?
Never used a fountain pen before, is it scratchy? also how does it compare to the Lamy Safari in terms of smoothness?
Where did you get those cute pins?
Are you still using your delde? Because of you I hunted high and low and finally found one, thankyou for that, well chuffed with mine 🎉🎉
Indeed I am. One of my favorite pouches!
This is the first time I have viewed your channel. What a great and interesting scrapbook. Thank you for keeping the integrity of it. By coincidence, the Flower Drum Somg playbill you showed has a movie version which is on TV right now.
Moleskine pocket is my best friend, but this year the paper seems awful- it can't handle half the pens I used in its predecessor. I cannot find an alternative, other than Leuchtturm, that has the same weekly+memo set up but with fountain pen friendly paper. Do you have any suggestions? The hobonichi weeks comes close, but Im really attached to that pocket size as it fits in even my smallest purses. Im willing to try the Leuchtturm, but I just want to know if there are any other options!
I have only seen the leuchtturm as being the closest layout for the pocket moleskine. Leuchtturm paper is actually pretty good for various inks; I agree, moleskine paper has really lost its paper quality in the last 6-8 years. It used to be so much better and a lot of people complain about not being able to take inks. Definitely give leuchtturm a try! I really liked it for bullet journaling and have found several fountain pen inks work well on the paper. And pocket size comes in so many fun colors.
Thank you! I'll try it... look at me in January already planning my 2025 agenda lol 😂
I’m a fan of kinbor too ❤
A lot of people say you can't use this to write on both sides of the page, but you don't seem to have any problems. Any comments? I'm really considering trying functional journaling in it but it just seems like all the reviews I've seen are dismissing using both sides of the pages and I don't think that would be very functional.
I think it’s personal preference. I’ve heard feedback that people dislike it for aesthetic reasons or not being able to read what’s written, so to the latter, it depends on the ink color you use. Experimenting with the inks in your collection becomes a fun little project for this. I personally will use both sides if I can to maximize the writing space, because the journal, to me, is exactly that - a place to write and I want it to function as such. I also set aside expectations of shadowing (which has never bothered me) and is another thing people comment on. To me writing on both sides works! Play around with the paper, have fun with it. It’s just a journal 😊.
Mine is 2 every year, since 6 years of journaling.
I wanted to get one of Abigail Crafts' A6 covers, too, but some reviews say the synthetic penloop material peels off. How has yours held up? The Hobonichi covers have studier material for the pen loops, I think.
I haven’t had issues with mine, but I’m also using a slimmer pen that doesn’t stretch the loop. One of the major reasons why I chose a non-Hobonichi brand cover was because of cost for the A5 size, especially for being a cover of a notebook that I wouldn’t be reaching for on a daily basis.
I discovered Attic Journals at Paper Source. They had on clearance for $1 a set of 3 small, simple, rustic journals stapled together with a few blank papers inside and rescued illustrated pages from children's books for the cover. You can probably make your own, but you might find their other product interesting, which is repurposed book covers made into spiral journals. You can choose your paper, whether blank, lined, dotted--even watercolor paper. They cost $20 each, but what's more you can send them your own book for the covers to be made into your own journal for $28. They also have pendants made from old library books, and other unique things. I thought you might enjoy the website! 😊
I love my smartfee covers. They are nicer than Moterm in their feel.
Enjoyed watching! 🙂
So glad you're back on YT! Best of luck with the new baby😊
So glad to see you back ! Great line up.
Does your current daughter already know about the new sibling that’s on the way?😃 Also too you better prepare yourself for The New Journey and Writing Experience that’s coming up for you!😏
My daughter's very excited for her new sibling :) And it'll be interesting to see how journaling changes with two kiddos, lol.
That navy weeks is going to look stunning with the constellation cover on cover 😊
I’m excited to see them paired up. 😊 Thanks for watching, Emily!
You know what I like about this book? These were the days when scrapbooking was actually about the person that put it together. Not just random ephemera about nothing in particular, linking to nobody and no place. I was blown away by those places, especially that map of flushing. It inspires me to make sure my scrapbook is not just pretty, but personal and that the ephemera are things I care about, not just stuff in a package that I picked up in a craft store! Thank you for this!
I agree! Im in Scotland and it was so cool to see a postcard in there of "The Forthroad Bridge" which isnt far from me and still being used today. What a beautiful book and part of history ❤ xx
You've mentioned Kinbor before, but I forgot about it and ordered a 2024 Hobonichi A6 original. I've ordered a Hobonichi A6 back in 2020, but it went unused, such a waste!, but next year I plan to give it a go.
I hope it works out for you! The paper quality for ink usage is actually pretty decent.
❤
Cahier is just a French word for notebook, it's pronounced ky (rhymes with sky) - eh (like a Canadian). So it sounds like ky-yay. 😊 Thanks for sharing and best wishes for your pregnancy!
Thanks for clarifying, now I know! Apparently, my high school French failed me here 😂.
