    I Agree with everything he said 150 % I think is one of our more bold and fearless guess Preachers and he is from the south so southern warrior for God like allways brought the word unapologetically none the less I have to Respectfully weigh in on the His comment on “ u don’t have to be married “ I do agree it’s not about marriage but these thing like Food and other human needs are a desire of the heart now from a married man like himself sound right to me but that’s just me , being a devorced Man or even and or a woman it is a lagit immediate need I think needs to have more attention in any church because once u meet the needs of companionship, love , lust and pr marital Bliss there there’s anther need for most woman like He said material in stinks or filled u have the rest of us also left with a Lagit need for more as men and woman of God less that’s it and we are supposed to become Nuns and priests I don’t believe that I believe like all other needs in our church community there needs to be one dedicated to that very thing because Paster Kevin has commented on both ways several times so it is a Lagit position and need in our church that needs attention?! All else is well ! Great sermon as allway allmost a great as not to compare lol but paster Kevin’s sermon on King David “ Chopping Goliath’s head off loved that one ! Peace be with u all , Lov u Crosspoint :The Bakers

    Thank you Kevin for your authenticity and vulnerability. It helps to remind us that We ALL struggle and it’s ok to openly admit it to others. That it helps us to see God is at work when we’re feeling broken and when we have success. Thank you for sharing your life stories woven into the message with sound biblical teaching. What a blessing it is to find a pastor that has a heart for God and for Gods children.

    Can we get a sermon without the preacher talking about their trips, walking along the coast and hearing the waves crash or eating giant lobsters or going to sports games. It's always something. Then we get a feel good therapy session that gives nothing to equip the saints. I've been following cp foe 3 years and it feels empty to me every time.

  • @crosspointtv
    @crosspointtv2 ай бұрын

    Hi, Adam. Thanks for sharing your concern. At Cross Point, our goal is always to help more people Find and Follow Jesus. We hope that what you've heard over the past three years has helped you to follow Jesus.

  • @adamcapuano1148
    @adamcapuano11482 ай бұрын

    @crosspointtv nothing of what I've heard at CP has made me fall closer to Christ. I suppose it did in a sense because what I really needed was guidance in how to live and face the challenges in the world as a Christian. CP doesn't provide that. It's a feel good sermon with no conviction week after week. They don't openly talk about hot topics and how to navigate them such as gay marriage, abortion, women teaching in church. Which it seems to me is not a role of a woman yet CP still does it. CP seems to do nothing to challenge us as followers. Doesn't seem to ever say things that we are doing wrong. It's all very affirming and I haven't learned anything at CP in terms of how to read the Bible and study it because every sermon is a long wives story about the pastor with a couple bible verses tossed in. I watch one long hollow service and I actually learn how to deciple and learn things about the bible and how to read it. You should feel like you're In a school room at church but CP is a therapy session where everything you do is good because God loves you. Long hollow has had sermons about all of the questions you can think about. "Is the new testament reliable" "can you be gay and be a christian" "can Christians drink" ect. And now they're doing a full year just on 1 book in the bible. Using cross references of course but I'm learning so much more there in just a couple of services then I have in 3+ years of CP services. Not trying to be bashful. I still watch CP in hopes something changes. But it seems very fruitless. Like they are more focused on bringing as many people to the church as possible but they don't want to hurt anyone ls feelings so they don't talk about the hard stuff. But you can be loving and non affirming.

  • @crosspointtv
    @crosspointtv2 ай бұрын

    Hi Adam, I'm sorry you haven't found Cross Point to be helpful as you seek to follow Christ. But it does sound like Long Hollow has resonated with you - if they can help you grow as a Christian, I'd encourage you to invest yourself in that community.

  • @adamcapuano1148
    @adamcapuano1148Ай бұрын

    @crosspointtv I don't think CP really helps anyone follow christ. It's so synchronized with the world it's obvious. It should be building deciples but it's so clear CP cares more about attendance than teaching the word. That's why every service it's a long winded story about the pastor, a verse here and there and how you relate it to your life. So it's always just a feel good therapy session every Sunday where you walk out feeling like you checked a box. You should walk out of church trying to digest everything you just learned about scripture and maybe with some conviction. The way the services are presented at CP makes it all sound like the whole bible is a series of metaphorical stories rather than true events. When's the last time CP did a service completely about the reliability of the NT or the bible? Or controversial topics like can you be gay and be a christian or abortion or the historical facts of Jesus. So many supposed Christians when asked why they believe give the simple answer "well because I have faith" indicating a blind faith. And when that answer is given to non-believers they think we just believe because we are scared to die and just trying to convince ourselves of some sort of superstition. But it's because churches like CP don't equip it's saints like the bible says in order to defend the faith and to be prepared to give a defense for what we believe. It would be easy for me to just walk away and go somewhere else. And I have but I have a lot of conviction doing that because I feel sad for all the people who do attend and are spiritually hungry but what they're being fed just makes you feel full at first but it has no sustenance. And they aren't being guided on how to navigate this wicked world. Or how to stand up for your christian values when you see something wrong. And rather than defending the teachings at CP you pretty much say to me well good luck somewhere else.
