Womfat

Hi there! My name's Matt and I use this channel to share experiences in my precision rifle adventures. I focus on match recaps, gear highlights, and other fun stuff. I don't use this channel to generate income, and I don't churn meaningless content for views. I create videos about things I genuinely want to share, and strive to retain an audience that have similar interests.

My primary focus is rimfire PRS, but I also shoot centerfire matches when I have the opportunity. I'm continuously working to improve my shooting.

I ended the 2023 season:
-1st overall for the Northern Rimfire Series standings
-2nd overall for the USA Northeast PRS22 region standings
-8th overall for the PRS22 USA national standings
-1st place at the Canadian Rimfire Precision Series national finale

I'm part of team Go Big Tactical, but they have no direct affiliation to this channel.

If you'd like to get in contact, message me on IG (@womfat), or find my email under "business inquiries" (desktop mode only).

Thanks for the video- rant for you.. Precision Rimfire or PRS in general - the terms.. If precision is the main goal as implied by the name then wouldn't you be shooting bench or prone? I'm of the mind that PRS should be stand for "Positional Rifle/Rimfire Shooting" or "Practical Rifle Shooting" and not Precision rifle shooting because that's what you are doing, shooting from various different positions. Benchrest technically should be called "Precision Rifle Shooting"..as shooting prone or benchrest is the best way to achieve precision. This has always been in the back of my head bugging me. hah Not sure who came up with that naming standard anyway!

Is the scope cam focused for your Razor only? I just bought an Apex Rival x and the footage through his scope makes me nervous now lol.

  • @Womfat

The Scopemate on Brad's rifle has a worse sensor (2.7K instead of the triggercam's 4K), we did focus it in the morning but I did it quickly a bit rushed. The Rival has much better glass than is depicted in the scope footage. I've looked through the Rivals a few times

Adjust the focus wheel of the scope cam to get a clear reticle, after that, side parallax plays a very much important role to get a sharp and clear image, different range must adjust the correct parallax, otherwise, the object will be blurry while reticle remains clear though.

The simon says target? D-M Targets makes em. I think another place called Frick metals makes them but theirs is rated for centerfire so it probably doesn’t swing as good with rimfire.

that target was made by our match director, he plasma cuts and builds all our club's targets. But you can find similar designs on the market from various target makers.

Hello! My name is Vitalii. I’m from Ukraine. Found your channel and like it a lot! You do a great job for prs community! I’m newbie at prs, have no my own gun yet. But I thought about buying savage b22 precision as my first rifle, cause it has chassie from the factory. But after watching this video, decide to go for a CZ 457 synthetic and after that buy a chassie from MDT website . What do you think about that? May be your opinion change after these years and you can suggest something else? Have no much money, but want to shoot and start practicing

When I clicked on the video I was expecting an AD, ND, or for her to fall down. I was primed to feel bad for her. Then she has this “oops and still finishes the stage with 9 impacts. I think only one person at the local NRL match I went to last weekend even got the last shot off on that stage this past weekend and the top score was an 8. So Dory is doing great!

  • @Womfat
    @Womfat9 күн бұрын

It might have been, but I won't argue it unless I'm 100% certain. Maybe my fault for moving so quick instead of really following through and better spotting the shot myself.

@@Womfatsometimes we can see better movement through our glass than spotters see through there’s. Recognised the spotters voice … he seems pretty good usually to be fair. Interesting to hear your thoughts in more detail on the MK4. I think it could be the king of rimfire at that price point, I just battled with the ret which is very personal. Dory going great guns by the way! 👏👏👏
