You should now look at the history of the slave keepers association. An where they come from.

You can't blame anyone for believing what was in their history books when they were growing up. Because you should be able to believe that stuff. But it does make you wonder why things were changed. And why we started lying to ourselves about what history was actually about. Was it to continue to keep us divided as people? It's the old saying, divide and conquer. A government can not control a united populace.

So the truth is white people have been ending slavery not prevalent slave owners! Now you know what a myth white people are to blame

The problem with the thinking of black culture in the United States is that they think all black people are the same, united as a black race, and that is not the case. Just look at the white people in Europe; we are also divided between Italians, French, Spanish, Norwegians, Germans, Poles, Portuguese, Finns, Swedes, Estonians, Croatians, Swiss, etc., and we have our own fights among us. So why would it be different with the black race? When you say 'we sold our own people,' it's not true. One group of black people enslaved another group of black people before taking them to the coast and selling them to whites or Arabs, but just because they are the same race or skin color doesn't mean they are the same, just as an Italian is not a Frenchman, nor would we want to be.

it was the british that first abolished and actively pushed for the end of the slave trade around the world, not the united states as stated.

So sorry for your loss. The fact that we celebrate our heroes doesn't make the family's loss easier. Thank you and your family for such a great sacrifice. My dad fought in WWII and we have had a family member in every war since the Revolution up to Afghanistan and still have one in. Thankfully he is now stateside but could have to go back anytime. The whole family are career military.

It’s crazy that African-Americans don’t know this information already. White people in America have known this stuff for decades. But African-Americans have always believed the movie roots. And stories passed down from them by family members. Which are lies. One of the reasons today, African-Americans hate, and blame white people for all of their problems. It’s all based on lies. The majority of it anyway. It’s got nothing to do with race or skin color. They’ve always just been taught to hate white people and blame them for everything, all their problems so on and so forth. When in actuality. The most hated person in the world is a heterosexual white American man

It don't matter what anyone else says or the reasoning they would give, it is immoral a for a human to own another human period. And if you believe otherwise then know you are lacking in moral character as a caring human being. Slavery was stamped out for that very reason.

It easy to look back and say "how could you?" We have it so much easier than they did then and yet all we do is complain, how can you hold people of the past to today's standards? Is that remotely fair? This has never been easy, but it is simply Good vs Evil. And also I'm 41 from Philly they taught us these facts in the late 90"s, I went to a predominantly Black school district too. The last 20 years there has been a concerted effort to racially divide us, they fear what we could do if we united and let go of all this bull ish they use to divide and conquer us.
