    Does the Starlink work inside the case without opening it? This is super cool to keep it protected. Did you drill a hole in the case for the wires?

    What if you are traveling in the summer and don't want any heat, but still want hot water?

  • @markdavis9615

    it automatically keeps the heat in its tank for thermal use of making water hot, and not heating the van via an integrated 3 way valve.

    Thank you so much! We’ve had our lagoon table for over a year. Haven’t been able to make it work for us because we didn’t know that it was a ratchet mechanism as opposed to a clamp mechanism, holding the table in position.🎉

    10k miles in… Whenever I take a hard left out of my driveway my tire scrapes. Pretty annoying after spending $80k. This is literally my only complaint. I’ve driven back and forth over the pass and between Mt Bachelor and Hood all winter. Camped in -7°. Insulated w/ diesel heater. Toasty. Started/ran just fine in cold temps.. Been down to Tahoe/Mammoth twice in deep snow. Basically it kicks frickin arse and I love it. 148” trail from Oregon. 🤘🏽

    After having five Sprinter Van in the last 9 years, this is the best design I have seen. A complete set up for a family of four to enjoy camping and off roading. Congratulations to the designers and planners. Great job. Already considering to buy one.

    Good video! But small point of correction: the Trekker can be run from a 12v source. I believe it is also available with an optional battery. Another advantage of the Wrappon is that the "deposit" can be immediately disposed since it is dispensed in individual bags it doesn't have to be stored in the vehicle, thus there is zero chance of any odor.

    The problem is that you are adding to landfills with that. Use composting or empty at stations...

    Nature's Head Marine toilet uses NO water, no bags, needs 12v to run exhaust fan(built in by manufacturer), only requires plain old peat moss, has a separate urine collection bucket. I put used pee paper in a separate bag to burn later. Costs $1195.00 for basic toilet. I ordered an extra urine bucket, so I always have a clean one on stand by. Also ordered an extra rotary handle. When the poop and paper side has thoroughly mixed with the peat moss, it can be dumped on the ground as it's sterile. It's in a drawer that pulls out for emptying. The urine can be dumped anywhere. Mine is bolted to a flat board for stability. Mounting hardware/screws included. I purchased it for camping and for my home in case it has no power or water, I can still have a sanitary place to toilet.

  • @DaphneLowe
    @DaphneLowe10 ай бұрын

    There are no circumstances under which the the contents of a composting toilet are sterile. It takes the right combination of time (measured in months) and environmental conditions to degrade human waste to the point in which it is safe to use (or dispose of by scattering on the ground) as you described. There are plenty of YT videos on homesteading that detail best practices for creating compost from a toilet. The process undergone in a Natures Head type toilet is not sufficient to create true compost. Irresponsible dumping of human waste, including urine, damages the reputation of the vehicle dwelling community and public sentiment towards us. If you are doing what you described, please stop. To anyone else reading this, please do not emulate.

    I was on a yacht delivery a couple years ago with a peat moss toilet. Did not like it one bit. Captain and I eventually just used the head sink for #1 which was direct discharge overboard so we didn't have to interact with that toilet any more than needed. This didn't have an exhaust fan, but had this funky handle to turn the peat moss around.

    Now I’ve had a lot of great holiday experiences in my converted Bedford RL, it’s been converted from an old British army lorry/ truck to a typical lad’s home on steroids, I’ve got a gun safe for my crossbows and my trusty bows and arrows too. I will though have to admit that this would be what I’d have if I had the means to get one because it’s got a big lift on it, big all terrain wheels and tyres and some sort of body liner sprayed on it to protect it which is another reason to buy one but there’s two other reasons as well for me to have one one of them is a crapper for moi and a bed big enough for my dog, cat and myself so in that regard I doff my cap to the designers and manufacturers of this piece of automotive art. 👍🙏
