    So many GREAT ideas -- I'll be stealing from you -- and this vid -- for years to come! I'm considering purchasing a spray-painting gun and compressor in the next six months -- would you consider creating a video teaching viewers what to look for when shopping for that particular equipment? All your vids are well-made, informative and shot with an eye on *showing* viewers rather than just telling us. If KZread ever stages "Best Of the Year" instructional video awards YOU deserve an Oscar!

    I absolutely L🐝VE this! Recently my daughter and I got mom & daughter Bee tattoos! They’re not matching exactly, mine is a fat yellow & black bumble bee, my daughter’s, is black & gray. I thought of her while you were putting the Bee-utiful touch’s on this gorgeous piece! Wow, how about those awesome drawer knobs!💛🖤🐝🖤💛

    I love your work and I like the fact that you don’t let the nasty comments that people are leaving about your clothes and tattoos bother you!! But I have a question. Did you have to take art classes to come up with designs and textures and colors? I’m 63 years old and I’m looking to retire soon from childcare which I’ve done for almost 20 years. And was wanting to do refurbished furniture and also craft my own furniture! I’m looking to supplement my income after I retire! I watch a lot of women that do this for a living on KZread and they’re all very crafty and their colors and designs are like wow I would never think of anything like that. That’s why I wonder if you all took art classes before you got into doing this refurbishing Business??

    Thank you! I took art in high school, but that is it. I have a lot of artists in my family, so I have always been around it. Sometimes, I find fun prints I want to use on pieces, but typically, the furniture piece just "shows" me what it wants to be. I say go for it and experiment. There are very few mistakes that aren't fixable. If you paint a color and don't like it, just paint over it with something new. Play with colors and patterns and you will find the ones that speak to your heart.

    The furniture looks amazing, beautiful job! Do yourself a huge favor though and get a bigger tip set for that lvlp gun, you’ll be able to get the paint on much faster with a much bigger fan at the same pressure and much less thinning, probably one less coat also. It looks like that gun probably has a 1.3 nozzle in it and it’s struggling to get it on. A 1.7, 1.8, 2.0 would be much better with the type of material you’re spraying. That gun is basically a copy of an Iwata w400 being made by a lot of different “overseas” manufacturers and nozzle sets that work with it are easy enough to find and relatively inexpensive. Really nice end result though 👌🏻

    Thatsactually pretty dope. Its got a pop art vibe about it. And in another 100 years it can be stripped back to wood if the style of the time changes, and it will be preserved from light and moisture.

    Hi. Does wax work only on chalk paint. What if I have a satin finish prime and paint piece which I want you to dark wax?

  • @SabsRehabs
    @SabsRehabsАй бұрын

    If it is already protected with Satin then skip the clear wax coat and go straight to just dark wax only. Buff it back to the level of worn you want.

    Great project. Were you able to find any maker's mark anywhere on the piece? I have a piece so very similar to this one in many ways but I have no idea of the maker. I recently rehashed it into a mid-century modern styled piece that you can see on my channel but I thought at the time that it was a 50s or 60s department store piece based on the construction. Yours is very similar both in construction and design. I even had the same dual-layered thick veneer. I've owned it since the 70s.
