He should have kept Rockefeller on the ticket. I liked Bob Dole but his debate performance was dreadful against Mondale.

Gerald Ford who had to change the location of the back wound in the Autopsy to get the Warren Commission to sign off on the "Magic Bullet." No offense to the former POTUS but that made him a Traitor. And his reward? He would be come an interim POTUS just like LBJ 10 years later, except LBJ got elected at least once. Ford couldn't even do that.

While there may have been some good people working for the Warren Commission, the purpose of the commission was to rubber-stamp the FBI report. The FBI and CIA both concealed information from the commission, and the House Assassinations Committee determined that there was likely more than one shooter.

Dulles did not resign! The whole world knows he was fired by JFK. Along with several top officials of the cia. So how does the head spook get appointed to the Warren commission? Seven of the 9 members had a vested interest in insuring the trust never came to light. And now through time we now know what the CIA was up too, truth endures forever,a lie falls starts to fall apart immediately. Only a blind fool would believe that the Warren report was not put together to confirm a pre agreed conclusion to hide the real perpetrators of the murder ! If their case was so airtight then why prey tell hide the zurpruder film from the world for so long? That a retorical question of course

The biggest sham of an Investigation. With members on the Commission who were enemies of JFK, who ignored reams of evidence and witness testimony, and then Gerald Ford had to rewrote the Autopsy to reflect the shot in the back as being in the NECK! And then she sites Bugliosi? This video is a total waste of time.

Its important to note, that Ford was a Member of that same Congress only 10 months before standing there as The President. Ford was the House Minority Leader, a former member of the House Appropriations Committee and a former Ranking Minority Member of the Defense Appropriations Subcommittee From my perspective, it looked like President Ford had command of the facts on inflation, came up with a plan of action to Whip Inflation Now, reached out for a consensus, and was discussing a subsequent action plan, if the measures that he proposes and implements fails.

I was there. I always have held president ford deep in my heart. He undid the misery of the previous decade. President ford holds the distinction of being our only commander in chief to not have been elected to office. He without hesitation sacrificed his re election in 1976 as for committing the unpopular pardon of president nixon. His benevolent legacy will never be equaled. I hold president carter as equal to president ford. I pray i will be aive in 2076. Our tri centennial. Me being 126 years old will be my destination. I put my faith & trust in my beloved young people of today. No one can take my dreams away. Only i can let my dreams die.

My opinion and views. Anthony Beevor gave his history books a public airing. I will give him a credit for qouting those mostly old British Empire/American books from memory. Like someone might sing a song and remember every single word in it's right place. Now to recite a book wheather factual or fictional deverves a credit for memory alone. We all know how big those old history books are but who wrote them and why. To indoctrinate or to educate? After all, that's why the British Empire published books. They did it to correct the wrongs.Truth is not a requirement. Any mature person that's lived knows that war is hell but civil war is Hell+.Everybody knows knows that Russia is certainly not the Russia of 1917 and it is definately not the Russia of the Soviet Union. I dont know if people undersdand what Russia is. We have listened to one mans take on history. There are many takes on history. This is 2024 and things are not good. The USA and British have the same view as this man on Russia. They are wrong. Very, very wrong. Yet today this is the nonsense we are faced with. There is no diplomacy with Russia whatever, at the time it is needed most.

There’s no question pardoning Nixon was the right move. Not for Nixon’s sake but to avoid dragging the country through a prolonged trial which could have torn the country apart. Ford if anything was too honest, but was a thoroughly decent guy.

I disagree. It sent the message that the President is above the law and we're suffering because of it today. You don't heal a wound by ignoring it, you disinfect it. It might have been hard to go through Nixon's trial (though maybe not as hard as we assume) but it was the only right thing to do. Presidents are not above the law.
