    I got one of the same motor kits to build an electric bicycle but noticed it ran the wrong way to make it happen and not look wanky. put away the kit and forgot about it, then saw your video, went to the shed and reversed the wires like you said and it works perfect. now to find the donor bike. Thanks

    This is the wiring that worked for me. As others point out, its easy to think its the same on the motor as the hall effect wires, that doesn't work LOL This does (at least for my 2000 watt 48 volt motor from China.

    Hi, I have experienced strange behaviour of some of my battery packs. Its not possible to charge-discharge anymore despite the internal voltage at CELL+ is > 32V. Do you know how to "reset" them? I tried everything, even brute-force of canopen

    The learning wire is indeed much simpler to do. I got mine mixed up with the reverse connector and couldnt get it working for a little bit. The chinese translation was "A-stern" which was confusing to me. My soldering iron sucks so I hate having to switch phases. That's a freaking sweet gokart!

    I have an ebike motor with a matching controller. And the wheel goes thud thud thud... only when riding it. I tried the learning wires and that did not help. I switched the blue with the green phase wires and that did not work. Do you know what might be causing this ? Or and what I can do about it ?

    Do you notice that the motor doesn't run as well in reverse (phase and hall swap, not reverse switch)? Most of these motors do not, likely because it is not neutral timing

    I have not noticed any issues with the motor and the controller I use. I have 3 speed forward and 1 speed reverse, after doing the hack, it still work the same way just different direction. Some controller have a way to reverse the motor by simply connecting a jumper cable...

  • @bradweber6133
    @bradweber6133 Жыл бұрын

    @@t-bo-diy it's possible that I am wrong but I have taken the motor apart and the hall sensors appear to be clocked a couple of degrees in one direction. Usually this would be advanced timing. If you run it backwards you get the opposite. Just curious if you ever noticed anything. If I am right it will still work just fine it just won't have the same power and smoothness.

    It worked!! I thought it was color for color, swapping one phase for another (ie blue for yellow) then swapping the corresponding Hall effect sensors( blue for yellow.) I tried my way, and the motor didn’t turn and wires got hit instantly. Looked for some more info and found your video and it worked flawlessly! Thanks.

Why? Can you hemp me to complete the project and able also the charge input. Many thanks in advance

    Not sure, I did 8 of them and I was able to get 7 to work, but one of them did not, probably a bad BMS, to wakeup the BMS you have to try to charge it via the yellow cable after the hack, this should wakeup the BMS. If that does not work you can always get a new BMS ;-)

    Wound up with 10 of these batteries, never deployed. Have kept them charged and "comfy" since, but considering doing this mod to them. Curious what you'd recommend in regards to doing this mod while they're still at a certain amount of charge.

    It's been a while since I worked on those batteries, but if i remember correctly the BMS is off until you do the hack and then charge the battery via the charging cable. Out of 8 batteries I was able to successfully do this hack on 7 of them... good luck...

    My brand new hoverboard run time is around 25 minutes then it cut off power of board. At full charge it was around 41.5 V and after 25 minutes the battery voltage was only 37.8 V for cut off. Why is the voltage still so high and already there was a cut off the power? At wat voltage should the board switch off? Any suggestions?b
