    Someone said your hoop is not on correctly. I agree it's not on right. Maybe try putting it on the correct way and you might get it right? I don't know

    WORST TUTORIAL EVER! SHE DID NOT EVEN PUT THE LOOP ON RIGHT!! WASTE OF TIME!!

  • @kate4121

    I find Mod Podge can be sticky even after drying. Also, I feel it dulls the shine of the drills. I prefer Mereido diamond painting sealer in the blue bottle. It’s seals well plus it isn’t sticky afterward. And it doesn’t dull the shine of the drills. Available on Amazon. I also have no problem peeling the sticky layer off without a tool. But so far this is the best diamond coaster painting tutorial I’ve seen. There’s actually a tutorial out there where she doesn’t peel off the protective film and suggests you use E 6000 to get them to stick. SMH

    Thank you so much for the tip! I will have to try that out instead of Mod Podge. And thank you for watching!

    Although you put the image on the wrong side of the hoop, I’m sure the fabric isn’t good quality rather than user error. I think it’s a bad quality kit too

    You dont have it on the hoop correctly which is why it loosened. And you are right, the fabric is likely not the right stuf.

    On your Mill Hill kits, the canvas is actually heavy paper not plastic. It’s like card stock. Very nice to work with actually. those Santa’s are so darn cute. Enjoy your stitching.

    thank you sooo much for this video! i recently bought a secondhand mannequin because i was so enamored by it LOL, and was trying to think of something creative to do with it… this was very helpful in giving me some inspiration and seeing someone else doing it for the first time :) it came out looking great!

  • @denisestilling2810
    @denisestilling28107 ай бұрын

    I watched a few videos too…I think you need to sink the needle all the way down to the punch tool….also the needle tool needs to be an appropriate gauge for the fabric…good effort…try again.

    I am a beginner as well so I thought that’s why I wasn’t having much luck with this. So I went looking up this kit I got from Michaels on here and I’m glad to see I’m not the only one who had troubles with this. I was thinking it was the fabric as well.

    Quick question for you. I have some bowls I've inherited and would love to have my students paint them then get them fired at a kiln (which has agreed to help me with the project). What sort of paint would I use to accomplish this? Thanks. Loved the ideas you shared.

    I have just tackled my first diamond painting and I did a little purse, did you seal yours? I notice that they suggest sealing but I’m not quite sure how to go about that on this little bag. Any info would be greatly appreciated. I love yours and the glitter idea is amazing, thank you.

    I appreciate your presentation and especially because I’m a beginner. I Don’t need the most expensive paint but I don’t wanna buy junk paint either that’s going to frustrate me. I think I would probably by artist loft for the price and it seems OK for a beginner. I like how easily it is to see what you’re doing so I give you a five star

    I painted many plaster statues and plaques in the 70's. I was meticulous, and to be sure colors weren't off the lines, I would use a toothpick to make small lines to cover any mistakes in tight areas such as edges of hats and jackets, instead of using a paint pen, (which we didn't have then) and colors matched perfectly, and held up to sealers. It was a great hobby I had when expecting my son. Last week I found plaster crafts at Dollar Tree. Two adorable valentine gnomes. I'll use acrylic paint and spray with a sealer. Thanks for your ideas!
