Great video Terry. We were there yesterday and the weather was not as good as today. Busy sorting out my videos and photos and uploading soon.
@@kjmphotographynortheast5437 aye I checked and saw today was going to be fine

Great video as always Terry we were there on the Saturday (Slideshows & Videos on my channel now). It was a great day. Are you going to the tractor event this weekend? if you are might see you there.👍👍👍
Yeah I think I’ll be there

The inside of the movie theatre is fantastic down to the last detail! WOW! Even the projector is period-perfect! It is not a replica either! The sound booths in the record shop and the vintage TVs bring back a lot of memories from the 60s (before everything changed in the 70s). In North America, there are 'practical' attelage relay events in Amish communities called 'Buggy Pulls'. Are the skilled driving operations in the video a 50s thing? A UK thing? The event seems more historical than that (pre-motorised vehicle days). Very cool! Thanks for the tour of my favourite living museum!
Yeah, it’s before 50’s. I think it started in France, I’m not sure. Beamish has lots of different organisations that hire the event field
You’re British, of course you’re pronouncing it wrong
True, as it’s a French word 😂
packed when i was there
@@AnthonyRobson-tl6zs it’s good though isn’t it
Time travelling in both directions at the same time! Particle wave duality or superposition??? We need a red phone box! LOL!
😂😂
Next video I'd like to see is where you do maintenance on your own caches - a couple are long overdue ;-)
😂
I was born and raised in Leeds but left for Canada before this museum opened.I am very happy to have found this video - Wonderful tour Terry. My cousin Stephen Gledhill who was a gunsmith, used to work at the Royal Armouries, I wonder if he's still there. Beryl (Midgley) Evans.
I’m glad you enjoyed it!
This is exactly how it felt to find an address off my old gaffa 😁❗ church road off the High street 🤦❓
??
two washouts not good
Nope
Nice one! I'll have to get there next year. Looks great 😃👍❤️
It’s good! Well worth a visit
Just found this video after being off citalopram for 3 weeks and feeling exactly the same as yourself! Good to find someone who is dealing with the same emotions as me. It’s tough that’s for sure and the feelings now are crazy, the happiness, the sadness, everything. Can’t believe you mentioned beamish also, I was born there my mum and dad worked and lived onsite when I was a wee baby at flint mill before moving into one of the miners cottages. My dad worked on the farm and with the shire horses and my mum made cheese and did cheese making demonstrations. Lots of good memories as a child!
@@loopylu94 I love beamish!! Anyhoo, keep going with being off citalopram, it does get better I promise!!
I know how you feel Terry was at the Haltwhistle Carnival on Sunday (Photo Slideshows Coming Today) and that was a bad day for the weather but still a big turnout
Wow, your only chance for summer weather may be this fall in Florida
Looks like it

Just temporarily
Music was fab from that band
Love the fish and chips.
I want to go back with you, try the milk bar, and try the food at the new Georgian drovers inn
Forgot to say all my vlogs on phone very stable except when on a self stick
the video would,ve been much better without the irritating music.
Sorry. But a lot of times there were other people having conversations etc
Great video Terry. Will be going over in the next few weeks just been busy with other events so could not make the opening day
It’s a good addition
@@TerryTrackerChannel looking forward to seeing it Terry
Can you translate for me please
Love the kazoo band!
Me too
Theres also a record shop upstairs above the Toy Shop which is worth a look.
I’ll be going back, it was just way too busy haha
nice one must revisit when i get well cheers
You should, the 50’s area is great
THANK YOU!!!!! Great tour - thanks for sharing!!! I am looking forward to a 1950s food review.
Coming soon!
I'll take any of the appliances in Reece's over the modern garbage manufactured today! I actually have a 1950s fridge and a mix master - both work just fine! The toy shop is beyond cool! Imagine toys that don't require batteries or charging!
Yeah, no batteries!
Wow! The theatre (oops cinema) is spectacular! Every detail is perfect!
Theatre, cinema, picture house… it’s all good haha
The speakers were really interesting (except the last guy in the straw hat LOL!). It's wonderful to hear from community elders and people who have lived experience of the era!
❤️
I'm watching right now - and yes, you were FIRST! How cool is that?!?! Here comes the parade!
Oh, I have been waiting for this! Thank you for covering the grand opening! YAY!!!!!
how did you fix the blur? any tips?
Increased the shutter speed
@@TerryTrackerChannel ok ill give it a try ! thanks for the info! im subbing!
Actually I do know of a place where lots of people miss out and if you go to 5:48 you will be able to see it in the distance and that is the whim gin which is basically a horse powered mine lift, you might see the steam one in the pit village however the whim gin was before steam and was horse powered. To get to it go through pockerley village go past the church etc all the way to the bottom, left takes you to pockerley mansion, right takes you to the whim gin and from the whim gin you can continue walking the path which takes you the trains and also don't forget to look for the (gibbet) which is like the hangman's gallows and it's located even further up than the whim gin but you can't access it but you can see it, actually if you look close enough at 5:48 on the right fat back you can see it in the distance.
Havent been to the Hoppings for years so was great to see an insight into what its like these days. Great videos 👏
Thanks!
That horn was deafening and i was around the corner when my mate triggered it 😂
So so loud!!
Your daughter is a real sport! Leading the way and making sure Dad's okay! Thanks for sharing your adventure. Filming with a phone is fine. You captured sights and sounds perfectly.
