  That’s so cool my wife and I want to take our kids camping and stuff but we prefer sleeping in a protected space but we don’t have a truck so this might be an option for us ❤

  Oh and one last question using your plans do you think it would be easy to scale it down? I’ll be towing it behind a 32 Ford and it looks too wide as it’s a narrow car

  How is this secured to the vehicle? Are there any ties to cargo hooks in the bed? If it just sits in the bed, it’ll sail and become a projectile on a windy day in Oklahoma

  What does it mean internal guttering for water leaks inside the house and then it’s collected through tubes in between the panels is that the idea I just wish I knew whether or not the structure was stable enough for like blizzards or cold or putting up a woodchip burning fireplace

  It's a ligthweight structure but it's strong. So long as it is screwed down to a solid base it shouldn't blow away! Compression posts can be fitted to take the weight of snow. Between each roof panel there is a gutter inside which carries water away, it's very simple and yes you could fit a wood burner but with only 30 mm of insulation it's not going to perform as well as a traditional yurt with 10cm of wool wrapped around it!

  I might actually consider buying the plans to make this but the problem is is I don’t understand if I built it in Colorado or if I built it in Middletown New York with the thing the able to withstand a blizzard? It doesn’t seem like it’s strong enough to do that and I don’t understand how the top of it waterproof the pieces don’t seem to have anything on it that keeps it from leaking I don’t understand I think that this video needs to be about five minutes long and address all those issues

  The lifting mechanism consists of 4 hydraulic struts which lift the roof when the restraint keeping it lowered is released, rather like the rear tailgate of a car lifts up when its unlocked and gently pushed. It's an elegantly simple lifting mechanism which eliminates complexity and weight! I like the thought of it for the Slidavan. This is a phenomenal, truly lightweight, truck camper whose potential is very interesting.
