Hello and welcome!
We believe everyday is an opportunity to create a life of adventure. Currently, my wife Heather and I are working on an amazing, multi-million dollar renovation of a 8,000 square foot historic Spanish Hacienda that sits on a 10-acre private property ranch in the middle of Catalina State Park in Tucson, Arizona. We are filming our experience and sharing it in a new series called Rancho Redux right here on our channel!
When not working on a project, we are adventure travelers and spend our time overlanding, hiking, backpacking, bikepacking and more.
We have several shows on our channel.

(Revelation 20:11-15)And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. (Revelation 20:11-15)
Sorry to be the buzzkill but you should probably pick up a MVU Map so you can avoid illegally camping like you did at the 13 min mark. Aside from on-foot/horseback camping, the only spots to vehicle camp are in the two campsites.
Scott... what happened to you all, I have been following for 4 years... never wrote you all. I am wondering if you just stopped as the video taking and editing can take allot of time. So, I do hope you are both well, and we will just wait for an update video.
So glad I stumbled across this video. I grew up in the flat oil fields of SE New Mexico and, with the exception of a few camping trips with my church or driving up to Albuquerque, I didn’t get much of a chance to explore the awesome landscapes New Mexico has to offer before moving to California 25 years ago. Freshly bit by the exploration bug, I’ll definitely be camping here in August when go out to visit family
Water diversion bars. So to prevent erosion.
Why did you buy RAM. Your RAM is not good at this but Ford is better at this as well as that.
I grew up in White Rock and have been there many times but it never gets old. The Jemez mountains are beautiful.
Thank you for sharing these amazing places
Loved this video & channel; we are also overlanding in kinda the same way currently from Iceland to Australia in used Old Lexus RX SUV. Just doing things a little diffrent Thanks Zahra @twoheadnorth
Does the paddle air pump not destroy in the water?
Won’t these just get damp and hold moisture?
Can you double stack while inflated?
I adore the Northern NM area! I’d live there in a heartbeat
I worked on trail crews on public lands and sometimes this type of trail was to prevent erosion along trail
Looks nice, I’ve heard using carpet this way will lead to mildew tho. There’s probably a reason iKamper opted for cork in the new iKamper Skycamp DLX.
I wish I was up there with a Tin Kerr fishing rod, right now
Does anyone know what trail this is!?
7 MINUTES TO GET INTO THE VIDEO WTF
Couldn't work out with the owners?
No conversation needed. Control burns are beneficial for the soil and plants. Deer and elk will benefit from the new growth
Excellent video. Two of our sons are overlanders; one in Utah and the other in Dallas area. I'll definitely share this video with them. Well done.
New to the sports how much did the rental cost per hour?
For sure going with a Four wheel campers Hawk. I have a Rebel with a 6.5 foot bed so I might as well go all out. These camper shells just aren't it for me.
The GFC was, it seems, in your own words the absolute worst choice you could’ve made yet you still purchased it?? This video almost doesn’t even seem to make sense it’s like you made this video just to showcase your own folly? I’m confused. I don’t know if I can trust your judgment on any other products now.
I only saw one comment about the strange trail. So it was a Boy Scout trail?? I wish there was more info about it.
Beautiful backdrop for the video
Mountain bike trail?
This guy would sell his mother’s wedding ring.
Question: What is the clearance between the rear of the rack and the liftgate when it is up all the way? I'd like to put a lightbar in the back, but curious about the space.
Did you visit McCrystal Campground on this trip? It's on my list for 2024.
16:24 I guess it is only fitting there is one place that Ca. gets the Saguaro cactus so I guess it would be only fair that Az. gets a place as well.
3:48. 5225.06 What cost that much? The TV?
Hello. Great Video. The wheels are 17" or 18"?
Great video! I’ll be doing this hike a few months excited!
How have they held up? Anything you would do differently now?
I own a 2019 Rebel and Im thinking of getting a slide in like this. I just need to get an extended gas tank and the camper then im off!
Hey 4X--On the return trip when the trail crosses Highway 71 there are gates on both sides of the road. Easy access or locked up?
6' tall person can sleep ? Is that max ?
Love that canyon! Ordered the book!!
Hope you love N. New Mexico as much as I do! Made the decision 13 years ago to leave Washington state. For the beautiful valley of ANGEL FIRE. The skiing, golfing, fishing, hiking, and now adventure touring on my Triumph Tiger 955i . The dirt and gravel roads/trails are not for cruisers or bobbers. But there are a ton of great places to load up and explore. You’ll definitely enjoy this place. Hope to see you around. Tim
Thx for sharing your videos. I retired 2.5 from the Army, and can’t wait to get my Rig (Forester) next year and plan to overland. The outdoors is what I am missing.
Great review by someone who actually has repeatedly used the product. Thanks so much for the honest video. bob
Thats why i would be nervouse to have a tent in MT. Bears are all over the place. I realize some of it is hard shell but a grizzly thats stands 10 feet tall would not be fun to wake up to. Beautiful video and landscape. MT is such a great place. Safe travels!
Congratulations
i had a 2020..with AT tires from wildpeak, skid plates, and a skypbox on top and still got 28.5mpg. same car i towed a trailer 1800lbs 55mph i still got 28mpg
Do you mind sharing where you camped?
Can’t wait to do this hike in July. I also heard if you catch the first boat of the day, it’s half price!
The stupid motorist law only applies if you go around closed road barriers and then have to be rescued.
Thanks for this video.
