    This video is about useless. Show what you're putting back in and where. Like dealing with the clips on the throttle cable to hold them in the housing.

    It's a sponge! I think I should just convert my present old air filter of wrapped mesh paper by replacing it with sponge material. Think that will work on my XV750 1982 Virago?

    Plug testing that is not conducted in a pressure vessel that recreates cylinder pressure, is inaccurate, you actually increase pressure until the plug fails to fire, that is the proper technique.

  • @1magnit
    @1magnit2 ай бұрын

    That is correct and if you can't increase the pressure, you increase the gap instead but that is only for testing ignition systems, not plugs.

    Your spark plug tester is a joke because it can't reproduce cylinder pressure. To test the plug, you need pressurised chamber.

    @@jamesgeorge4874 That's wrong, Ignition timing is set before top dead center and there is also ignition advance throughout the rev range. This is to give the fuel time to ignite and burn so that on the power stoke the engine will get maximum expansion of the burnt air/fuel mixture.

    So i mean yea, like you did the process. But i might as well been leaning over someone's shoulder n just watching. ** Also prob shouldn't wait til your on the second switch cover to THEN tell people to make sure they've removed the main fuse. But you failed to mention all the tedious steps IE: and which way to reinstall the break button wedge. Or the fact you need to hold onto your brass connectors that go over the throttle n idle cables, unless they bought new ones. Ok im done.

    Nice video ! This original filter cost about 70 dolares in Brazil. All parts of Virago 250 are extremelly expensive in Brazil, due the fact the manufacturer stops the production in 2002. Despite that, there are still a few 250's and 535's, some 20 years old + motorcycles on the streets.

    Hi, Im having trouble removing the damper rod bolt. For some reason it seems not to want to come out. I'm able to hold the damper rod still and crack the damper rod bolt. I can spin it freely with the damper rod. With some pressure applied to the bolt or damper rod, either one moves. I can also hear something move inside. What may have gone wrong?
