Great work by Stephen and the Healthmark team!
Great reminder to observe the performance of the washer! Washer 2 was not quite right! Maybe this would be a good reason to recall a washer load.
i threw out my mechanical a weeks ago and it has not been critical
Very helpful! Thanks for taking your time to teach an important issue in sterile processing.
We appreciate the positive feedback! Thank you for watching & supporting our channel. If you have any questions, feel free to share.
Nice videos. I just want to comment that the bag is inflating during the vacuum pulses and deflate when steam pulse started. The chart following the video shows the opposite.
Thank you master.
Where can we get those dyed packs ?
Visit our website to find the Pouch Seal Integrity Test: www.hmark.com/product/pouch-seal-integrity-test/
26:15 Although the sterile items are esentially wrapped and sealed, can micropores from what one hopes would be sanitised and cleaned hands still cominate the sterile wraps into the sterile package?

ok here we go, at 3:42 per ANSI/AAMI pouches paper to plastic. ok...at 4:25 we see the manufacturer IFU state paper to paper. Just pointing it out...
Great call out and attention to detail. The IFU pictured in the video has since been updated to reflect the best practice recommendation.
This is where facilities tend to lack in. Something so simple for such a complicated task. I really like the box lock brush, really neat concept. Thank you Malinda!
Glad you enjoyed the video. Thank you for watching!
Bioburden is something of a euphemism for residual human tissue. This podcast is extremely important. Sterile processing is critical for preventing infection. I am aware of a Pseudomonas infection after arthroscopy which severely disabled the patient. You did not define what you mean by a bore-oscope. Thanks Steve and Kevin .
Thank you for listening and for your comment! We also believe that this is a very important topic. Arthroscopy related infections have been associated with shavers since 2009. Unfortunately, we still find shavers that have residual debris in them after cleaning and sterilization. Part of the reason is because sterile processing departments don't have the borescope, they need to inspect the inside of the shavers. The borescope is any camera that can be used to look inside of channels within instruments that would otherwise be impossible to see visually. Secondly, technicians also need several different brushes to adequately clean all the surfaces inside the shavers.
14:05 are the items with the towels under them and over them considered unsterile if ran that way?
I am a independent Dental Service Technician. I concentrate most of my service to Human Health, Animal Health situations. I have been doing this for 23 years. What is your feeling about tabletop units that require the door be opened to facilitate the drying process?
What about weird black smudge coming off the instruments?
Please keep posting educational information on sterile Processing 🙏 I really appreciate the kind of information you can only offer from years of experience in the industry 🙏
Thank you for watching! Sharing knowledge & experiences with others is SO important.

Thank you for watching! :)
Great video! This has been a pretty hot topic lately with surveyors.
It has! Hopefully this can provide some clarity!
Thx for video ' but have question please What is deference between lumcheck and TOSI
The LumCheck is designed to simulate lumened instruments such as endoscopes. Designed to test the machines that clean lumened instruments, such as ultrasonic cleaners with the irrigation hook ups. The TOSI is designed to simulate surgical instruments such as forceps. TOSI is a more general design that is meant to test the cleaning efficacy of a washing machine or an ultrasonic cleaner.
Thats alot of work just peel pack it..
