Why didn't you just take the old mattress off ? There was no point in keeping that old one on their, or was new also? I hope that wasn't water you put in the reservoir tank for the radiator ?
What was your reason for not using the base from the junk yard seats.
The “gutter” part on the back of the roof material should be clipped up into a couple of clips at the back of the opening
We're is Thomas going 🤔
Tomorrow we're off to La Loche, then Shan is taking him to her class re-union at Greenwater. It's living its best life again!
Awesome video great ride thanks
Glad you enjoyed it
Master cyl. is shot, that will not fix it
Lol - Was wondering if anyone would catch that! New MC just arrived.
40yr old tires? You really are blessed!
Ok I'm in USA I follow other RV videos. One was throwing dish washer pods (cascade) in the toilet She said she learn from some one else to Eliminate/cut down the smells. Don't know what it would do to your tanks. She doesn't seam to have any issues with it yet. Just thought I'd say something. So maybe check into it.
Ive heard of all kinds of things being used, but the seal on our toilet seems really good ;) plus there is a skylight - with a fan - for taco-night, lol!
I sincerely appreciate you showing your struggle removing the throttle body, all the other videos are referring to the earlier cable actuated ones. The commentary during it is extremely similar to what I say when I’ve been working on the boxster 😅
I appreciate that!
muy buen video muchas gracias y bendiciones, desde Colombia
Love older rigs. Might wanna check gas line hoses if you have ethanol gas where you are. Ethanol will eat older gas line hoses because they weren’t made for it.
How close to Dog River are you?
Haha.- that's like.15 hrs away, in Ontario I think!
@@DannebergAcres No, it's Rouleau, Saskatchewan. The called Rouleau Dog River for the TV show Corner Gas.
Dielectric grease.
Don't make me get the Chainsaw out Camaratta style! I saw that video too.
RV's🚍 You Need To Sand Down The Roof & Use Marine Sealing Paint & Dry & Do Again. At Least 2 Coats. 3 Coats The Best. Otherwise You Will Have Leaks In Your RV🚍. New Or Old RV's🚍Known To Mold In Walls & Floors & Ceilings. RV's🚍Have No Redeeming Insulation For Cold Or Hot Weather!
Great point!
Anematahone❤❤
Hay great! You did not raise your voice and blame your wife or use bad words. I like you.
Awesome video Ed & Shannon! 😀
Glad you enjoyed it
That’s a nice little rig. I would just make sure to change the oil, and run only sae 10-30 always. That year GM V8 has the soft camshaft that failed around 60-70k miles. People used 10-40 and the top end didn’t get lubed properly. Causing the cam and lifers to round off. TRW actually made a kit to replace everything so many went bad. It’s called an engine module III. Timing chain, gears, lifers, and gaskets.
Thanks for the info!
@@DannebergAcres You’re welcome. I noticed toward the end of the video you added a quart of 10-30. And that’s the ticket! I love your new rig. And the price was fair as well. I hope you have many miles of smooth, safe and enjoyable travel.
40yr old tires???
So I'm trying to find this on the parts store. There is on multipurpose relay..that is the switch? But there is only one.. am I supposed to get 3? My auto store people are saying my car has no starter relay lol
partsavatar.ca/standard-t-series-starter-relay-ry438t
We only bought one as it was all corroded - but also had to repair the wiring that was also corroded. Check both carefully! Goof luck!
Another fake , stays in a motel while driving a motor home ?
Haha - good point! It was late and we didn't want trouble on our first stopover - like we had in Vegas!
Brother this is so very inspiring. I aspire to do the same thing you've exemplified in this here video. Thanks for not cutting it down into a short set of clips, better than a movie this is! I have a beautiful daughter and desire to show her more than 4 walls each day, i want to show her this beautiful world! Love how in depth you went with repairs, qol improvements, as well as your wit and knowledge! Blessings to you and your wife. Thankyou again for documenting your experience and travels. Hope to see more in the future!
Wow - thank you so much for your comment! One never knows how a video will go over but your note makes it all worth it. Hope you get your daughter out there soon - and have fun doing it! 💞
love it!
Best video ever. I actually learned something from this video. Every speech from you was a lesson. Thank you.
Thanks!
Hey I could use some door sealing gaskets and maybe more. Where’d you source a lot of your parts from!
Go to Southland IH in AB Canada. Call 1-800-949-0808 Good luck! (No affiliation)
rubbing alcohol and a micro towel works just fine!
Gotta try this!!!
Great video adventure😂
I love The vintage class c I Love mine it's an 87
Great video
I was given a Travco by my uncle who ordered it new. I've done some improvements (Alcoa wheels, LED lights, LeCarra steering wheel (original, French-made vintage), et cetera. Will be doing a 6BT & Allison transmission swap (the Dana 70 is 4.56 geared). I love seeing the older units in good shape
That sounds like quite the rig!
Mine was a rusted up NOTHING, took a ton of tin, wirefeed wire & gas, torch gas, runs great now, last job is a new exhaust system. You don't get much when it's free, is a darn good truck, I also installed lockout hubs.
They are great trucks for sure
Remember the back reservoir is for the front brakes on a master cylinder. Front reservoir is for the back so you need to check for front brake leaks. On older vehicles the rubber lines that goes to the calipers will collapse on the inside, it’s always good to change them out before it goes out while on the road. Good luck 👍🇺🇸
Great advise - will order those asap!
You really lucked out on this beauty . When you were filling the master cylinder with brake fluid you thought the back one that was low was for the back brakes but it’s opposite, the back reservoir is for the front brakes and the front reservoir is for the rear so you might have a leak in the front brake. Someone really took care of her for sure . Thanks for south Alabama in USA
Motorhome is looking fine! :-)
Good work on that old Chevy. Solid chassis. Just some suggestions from a 65 year old mechanic. Please check the transmission when running in park and warmed up. When the engine is not running the pump is not working so the fluid will show much higher on the stick - so my thoughts are that the trans is about 2 quarts low. The dip stick actually has in instructions to check when running and warm in park. Wix filters are much better quality if you can get them :)
Thanks! In part 1 I checked it whem it was warm and it showed the same. Not sure what that means but I'll definitely check again when warm.
Great :)! It has to be running as well when you check it. I didn't hear the engine running that is what worried me :)@@DannebergAcres
you can can get led bulb that can go in the old headlamp also were water heater is use little rain x above paint on the outlet of water heater
Good ideas - thanks!
Taking a cheap 40 year old motorhome to the next level! Git ready for Texas!
Time for a good cleaning! 👍
You got that right!
This is a rough-cut video showing the issues I (and many) have with these types of Lithium tool batteries - as well as a potential fix. It seems to be working now, mostly! Hope it helps someone else
Winter is coming but it was a beautiful fall!
Jumping these batteries works!
❤️ Love that little guy!
Just take some material cut it to size and glue it on both sides. I use Gorilla glue Or E 7000 glue. It not going to give out on you. Plus if you wanted to take your dog with you, but don't have a place for the dog to sleep. Well take some blackout material and cut it to fit the windows on the doors and Windshield. Use magnets to hold them up. Use a board with padding to cover the seats for your dog bed.
Great ideas!
No more Comet vids? Did you get rid of it?
Still have it - Winter project. Next video coming soon. Gonna finish it for next summer. Thanks for asking!
You sure have a lot of expensive toys, considering that it appears you don’t have a job.
Truth is, none are "expensive" - everything being 40ish years old. Spent the past 30 years working, saving and living below our means. It did allow me to retire early tho!
Your wife knows how to do things better than you do.
She's a keeper for sure!
You act like nobody knows how to put on windshield wiper blades. How childish can you get?
I had a tough time with these ones for sure - Definitely not a tutorial! 👍
Why the heck is having a radio so important?
I hate long ackward silences. 🤣
You must be trolling, no one drives nowhere in silence these days.
