  Amazing how well fruits do out here. Oranges, lemons, limes, peaches, plums, pomegranate. Often surprised at what we see growing in people’s back yards. We just saw almonds last week 🤯

  I love the Vegas area but the market out there is absolutely bonkers. My wife and I would like to retire out there in about 6-8 years and it seems hopeless. Vegas is the new California. 😕

  Just be careful about the far SW part of town as there are a lot of apartment complexes going in on both sides of the Beltway. This results in overcrowded schools, roads and other public venues. Going a bit further east, stay away from the Switch server farms as they can be noisy 24/4 due to the large cooling systems that those facilities require. Lastly, wherever you buy, make sure you know what will be developed around you if you are adjacent to open land.

  Vegas local here 20 yrs in the Sth. Blue DIamond and Buffalo. Unfortunately the influx of low income section 8 dreadlock pant sagging individuals have moved from Compton into all the Areas and are doing burnouts in private neighborhoods. California transplants have changed these areas from quiet and peaceful for the casino workers to Ghetto streets with loud music and dirtbikes. Just be aware that even in the gated areas Section 8 families are moving there too

  Same with the far NW. I live in RRCC now and it is the price range that keeps the riff raff out. The problem is that a lot of these entry level homes have been purchased in mass quantity by corporations that rent them out to anyone who can come up with the rent. You also get a lot of trash in move up homes, $500K - $1,000,000. You have to break the $2,000,000 barrier to really keep them out. For a time, O.J. Simpson rented in here just after he was released from jail. I thought that he moved to Florida but apparently he returned to Las Vegas at some point.

  This home is located 3 miles due west of the end of the 2 east-west runways at Harry Reid International Airport. Planes don't always take off in that direction, but when I checked airplane tracking they were taking off right over the home. Maybe 3 miles is far away enough, I don't know. Altitude of the plane was about 2500 ft above the ground level when it passed over the home, according to tracking.
