Notebooks & stationery to capture life. Dapper Notes are fabric notebooks made by Enon Avital, an artist and stationery craftsperson, operating in Fair Lawn, New Jersey since 2016.
Love your notebook making. Why don't you use a glue applicator or a glue roller bottle.
@dappernotes7 күн бұрын
Roller bottles dont work well. I do want to get an applicator at some point, but I'm enjoying the slow manual process for now

Won’t the edges of the fabric fray?
@dappernotes7 күн бұрын
Not this fabric, but many fabric types do fray. And that becomes part of the charm of having used the notebook

what fabric do you use for the screenprint?
@dappernotesАй бұрын
For this one I use a faux suede. Not super easy to print on, Dylan had to do a few passes on each. But it came out super nice

Your videos are quite a piece of art just as your notebooks. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you so much for saying so. Making notebooks comes naturally, making videos? not so much. So reading comments like yours is very reassuring

is there anything special about the black book cloth? I just tried to buy it at the store and they looked at me like i was crazy, thanks!
@dappernotes2 ай бұрын
It's just bookcloth. Most bookcloths that you'll find in retail stores have a paper backing which is a wee bit harder to work with. You might have better luck at places like Talas or Hollanders
@kevinbulotano56032 ай бұрын
what do you call the backing of your book cloth?
@dappernotes2 ай бұрын
I'm not sure I understand what youre asking. The bookcloth is premade. It's fabric glued to bookcloth.

@dappernotes3 ай бұрын
Probably poor wording choice on my part. But it's 1) a journal where you can bead onto its cover with an add-on set, or possibly 2) a place to track your beading plans?

I send the good scraps to artists, librarians, and teachers for reuse in crafts and other projects. If you are one or know one, send a message through my website. Scraps are free, just pay shipping (and share pics!)
