Definitely been looking at this shifter for a while. Nice to hear the true sound of this shifter. Always good to know about minor imperfections no matter how small. Crisp no nonsense video.
Just seeing this... womp womp
What TD profile do you run in ACC?
My profile is published as "HybridHanger ACC".
Right on, I’ll give it a try and let ya know how it is. 👊
Awesome vid bro, pls share link to torque wrench used in this vid
Thanks- sorry for the late reply: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09YTS1Y6C/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
nice
Thats just such a bo brainer. I wish we could get something like this in eu.
very good
I grabbed this. Another deal, is on the evo rig. On the site if you look at the Evo 1 and there’s the Evo 2. I believe they are the exactly the same. 1 is 550, 2 is 450$
Such a waste at $200! You could have bought the $100 qr2 😂 are you ever going to use this in a real life bmw race car?
I did the same, just because it looks good with the podium shifter module. 100$ for the looks, I can afford it
Which one you prefer your fanatec or simucube sport setup ?
I have a lot of thoughts... review pending :)
@@HybridHanger hope to see your review video soon!
Oh wow awesome deal. Does the wheel come with the USB connector?
Yes, it comes with a USB connector. No hub or clutches though (they're optional anyway). The deal appears to be dead, however :(
No it still on.. I already reserved mine. Thanks to your channel.😂
@@youngbeliz6177 that’s amazing! Congrats.
For anyone that got this, can you tell what difference...if any...is there between the “TK” X-29 at Microcenter and a standard one I’d order direct from GSI? I assume there’s no choice in the paddle config for the TK, but anything else? BTW, what is the paddle config? I’m guessing either 2x or 4x aluminum? I understand Microcenter’s partnership with TK himself, but I don’t particularly care for the looks of some of the other TK-branded items at at the store. The X-29 doesn’t appear to have much in the way of color on it anywhere aside from the labeling on the wheel face. Is that done in TK green or perhaps the LED profile is set for TK out of the box?
The TK X-29 is no different than the GSI version configured with carbon shifters (2X). It is completely black (including the rotaries), exactly as it appears in the GSI imagery. There are no clutches, no GSI hub included. Also no QR is included. This is the only version that MicroCenter sells, AFAIK.
Thx got mine to go pickup awesome deal
I got mine friday
Awesome. What do you think of it? What did you upgrade from?
@@HybridHanger CSL DD 8NM, but I'm waiting on the front mount for my rig so I can mount it.
I want to do rally can I bolt a plain nardi wheel to the hub?
Yes- in fact I plan on doing something very similar. As long as you can get a wheel-side Simucube Quick Release (SQR) onto it , it will work. The SQR has no power and therefore has no authentication concerns (unlike Fanatec, which does require a connected hub). The wheel will need a 70mm bolt pattern, or else it will need an additional adapter. Alternatively, you can adapt almost any type of quick release to this base. Many people use the Sim-Lab Xero-Play, or the NRG Gen2.
Anyone else get this deal?
Buying mine tommorow. Reserved at the moment at tustin. Sadly i ordered a moza setup the day before this deal went live, so i have to ship all that back on Monday and most likely also pay 15% restocking fee but this is too good to pass up
Yep. Got mine today.
Picked it up, sucks that I have to get rid of my Moza R12 now. I'm gonna keep my KS wheel over the X29, but I have to source a Moza universal hub.
Thank you for this video. So I don’t have to change anything in any iRacing folder to use Maurice‘s settings? Is it that easy? Cool. Thx for your help!
Hi there bit of a noob with fanalab ... will this (1.99) be ok with dd1
Yep! I’m using a DD1 myself.
Hi there! I was looking for any video about Fanalab and found yours! Tks for the infos! I’m really new to the fanatec ecosystem, bought recently a CSL DD and McLaren GT3 V2, last week I’ve bought the Formula 2.5X and I’m searching how to play with Fanalab… do you have any other tutorials like this! Tks a lot!
Hey! Maurice here ;) Thanks for your video and your warm words :) Just a quick comment on my philosophy regarding FlagLED colors: I use the same colors as the in-game car uses in either it's side-LEDs or in it's dashboard. This means that yes, sometimes it's not easy to see a difference between some settings which LED is showing which Telemetry data is currently active. In the example of the Lambo GT3 EVO2 for Wheel Spin I use Blue on the upper left, for TC I use Blue on the lower left LED and for ABS I use Blue on the lower LED on the right side. This is because the car also uses Blue for those indicators, splitted to the different sides. For Wheel Lock I use Yellow as that's the color the in-game LEDs have when tires are locking. Hard to see but in the video it looks like Wheel Lock LED is blue for you as well? I have checked the profile and it's definitely saved with yellow, so no idea why it would be blue for you... 🙈 On other cars, like the 720 GT3 Evo which also uses the new Orange color for the RPMs and the new Flash option for the Pit Limiter FlagLEDs, the colors are different for each Telemetry data as they are also different in-game so they are better to differentiate :)
Hey Maurice! It's quite possible that I accidentally changed the top ones (slip) to blue off-camera, but I don't remember. Thanks for pointing that out. And yeah, I 100% agree with your philosophy of matching the real car :). Thanks again for all of your hard work. You always add a ton of value to Fanalab with these profile sets!
Nice video Mike!
Thanks Brian!
