  Did you ever run the msr intakes with oem downpipes? I’m currently running MPE with fabspeed midpipe. Had catless arm downpipes but it was too raspy for my liking.

  I’ve watched this video over and over. It’s one of the best sounding cars I’ve ever heard (clip wise at least). I see you were advocating for the MSR intake pretty hard while a lot of others were crapping on the filter quality. I really want to get this sound out of mine but the “scare” of damaging anything by poor filtration is bothering me.

  I ran it for 30k miles on both my f80s. You just need to clean it every now and then. It definitely collects debris and dust. I’ve seen people drive with the msr in crazy rain so I wouldn’t be too worried if you live in a rainy state or country. I’m in California so there’s barely ever rain, but even when it did no issues. The car still performed

  I think the akra is actually deeper but it has more rasp when paired with single mid pipe and downpipes. I would say if the akra is mint just leave it. The mpe mid pipe is stainless at least and only $1200 to replace if I am recalling the price correctly

  @@sb8536 my taste is a bit different haha I love the sound of the turbo spool, so it’s a upgraded turbo, catless downpipe, single mid pipe, mpe rear. I think the more popular choice is active equal length with resonators pair to remus, remark, or Dinan for the cleanest and least raspy note

  @@SuperWhatthefack I understand the circumstances, it’s still frustrating either way. Have the Active autowerke midpipe waiting on my Remus race axle back to arrive🤦‍♂️. Have emailed xph twice and no response yet. Worse comes to worse I send the AA mid back cancel order and then order full FI exhaust directly from FI
