Hello everyone, thanks for watching my videos and checking me out. I lost both legs in July 2019 and at the time was driving truck pulling triples for UPS and thought I had everything in life I wanted and everything going for me until I found out I had vascular disease and with in 3 months I had 11 surgeries and came home without my legs! I've since lost everything and starting over with this bus. It took 3 years to get my pension of $124 a month and I was counting on a huge back pay to buy everything for my project then I would have a place to live for $400 a month instead of my rent for my house I had along with all the utilities. Well that back fired after finding out I only get a small amount until I'm 55 and I'm 47 now. What am I supposed to do until then? The $3000 back payed only payed some of my dental bill and I'm just trying to get this bus finished so I can have a place to live on my fixed income and can try to atleast travel the country on my budget an be happy!!

I changed out my headlights on my semi and it has made a huge difference in confidence when driving in the dark to be able to see more and further down the road, which is most important so you can have more reaction time to hazards out there. Whether it’s deer, potholes, signs, or even people, she’ll be able to see and react a lot better than those standard lights, and I’m sure that’ll make you feel better as well. I know those LED lights are expensive since I got some, but you can’t put a price on safety, especially for our children.

With regard to stump exposure, it's not much of beauty contest. And, some folks will be repulsed by even the most shapely surgery. Don't worry about what other folks think/feel. Easier said than done. What matters is how you think/feel about stump exposure. If you're not comfortable, or think folks will be more comfortable with stumps under wraps, it's fine. Nothing you're going to do is going to suite everyone, so focus on pleasing yourself.

Have your doctors discussed revision surgery on you below knee side? To better pad the bone? How well does the below knee stump work in you prosthetic?
I chipped the bone on the tip of the bone and because of all the cartilage I have they can operate on it because they have nothing to stitch it up. It always hurt even several months down the road.
If the situation limits your progress and success, and it seems as if it does, you might want to get a second opinion. Find a university hospital that has a great orthopedics department and pay them a visit. It'd be a hassle, but it might get you onto a faster track. Something just doesn't seem right with the bk stump as it is now.
You ak stump sounds as if it's holding you back. It's about time to get a second opinion at good, university orthopedics hospital. The medical care you've received so far hasn't served you well. Maybe your first outing in the Penn House should be for a second opinion@@ToddPenn
