  When my teacher introduced this to me I saw how fast it was and it sounded amazing when I tried it I was dumbfounded on how to play it until I heard this and it helped understand the notes and the sounds I should play

  RCM Prep A repertoire requires 3 “contrasting” … what 3 would be an example of this. I am self teaching to get started, looking for a little guidance.

  Just needs to be 3 different eras and / or styles. I don't think it matters too much at this level, as a lot of the pieces are by contemporary composers and fairly similar. But you could go allegro in C or melody in G for piece 1 (both classical options), Bluebottle or Smooth and Crunchy for piece 2, and A Haunted Harp or Sleepy Head for piece 3?

  Your moving your arms too much you will cause damage moving them up and down, let the hands do the work and only move your arms when moving them out and in.
