Fantastic! Thank you so much for teaching this beautiful song! This was always one of my favorite Beatles songs but hearing you play it, the notes really pop! You are so talented! I am practicing this with you every night and am really making great progress! I was wondering are you playing a baritone, concert or tenor? Your sound is amazing! ❤❤❤❤

Just started learning ukulele and fingerstyle, so learning the different patterns has been a fun struggle. I think that sums up music in general: a fun struggle.

I’m a guitar guy but bought a Ukulele for my granddaughter (4 Years old) so naturally had to get one for myself to teach her with. Haven’t picked up my guitar lately! Learning pretty quickly and this is a great one! Thanks. Question is she is leaning left handed but I want her to learn right handed since there’s so many more options. Thoughts?

Stu - A quick question: will you go into this song in more detail for the $5 and $10 Patreon members this month like you did for "My Favorite Things" in July? Thanks for the wonderful lesson. To those who are not Patreon members - I am glad I am a member (worth every penny and more!)

Yes, absolutely Vincent. Very often the bonus content will support the "first Sunday livestream" to create a monthly theme. What aspects of this song would you like to expand upon?

  • @vincentwestphal4521

@@UkuleleZen Stu - You did a masterful job of developing the melody line of "My Favorite Things", then tied that to the harmony/chords. Perhaps follow that same format with "If Not For You"; and, also work through the chord melody? That is asking a lot for the bonus content classes. Wish I could give more input for you, perhaps other viewers could add to this? Thanks for getting back to me so quickly.

I really love your teaching style, so my only frustration is: I am on a baritone uke, so translating fingering, especially with techniques not on bar chords, can be a real wringer. But I still get a lot out of your lessons. ❤
