    Great imagines, it's only a matter of time when that part of the point disappears forever. You can see from the aerial shots, even the progression further back is slowly being engulfed as well.

    @@Mr_RPE seriously ? mate the sand displaced by a 4wd drive on an area like that would be a bees dick compared to the many ,many hundreds of thousands of tons of sand that makes up that spit . The ocean gives and it takes away .It is all tides and currents..and bugger all to do with humans driving on the top few inches of sand dunes ....and yes I hate the dickheads who rip up sand dunes but mainly just because they are a danger to other people not the sand.I have watched the tip of Straddie's spit wax and wane massively over 50 years ...all caused by tides as no one drives on it.

    ok been using this system for 5 years now have also the pickup system for the water supply of river or pool,just use the pickup pump in a bucket of heated water to your liking wet up pause the pump soap up rinse of with the rest of the water use about 5 litres to 10 litres depending on how deep your bucket preferably the narrower it is the better 5 litres is hard to pick up in a standard bucket use 10 then store back the rest that doesn't get used as for the base it is a good idea to keep the dirt off especially if u have the double ensuite but it is more stuff to carry ps dont connect the hot water system just use the pump just saying !!! for those that are confused as for water temp cripes go from 1 pool or river when u travel the water temp changes so if u stay in 1 spot for a while it takes 1 setting whats the problem in summer it will be this setting in winter it will be that setting

    This is what happens when you let the aboriginal people have control! I’m seriously over the racist aboriginal land rights currently being created? $10,000 fine for being on aboriginal land without the proper permits (bribery money). And we are meant to respect their rights and customs yet they don’t respect ours? Creating severe division by race these new rules are. Funny that the aboriginal community are meant to share the funds, but some are cruising around in brand new 300 series land cruisers and others can’t afford food? The elders are ripping off the travelers and their own people. No free camping in Australia? A country built on free camping now it’s become illegal?

    Don't know they're getting any worse, as in 2012 I took son & his partner along, warned them everything has to be away. They pushed their cooler under the Hilux rear axle. Woke in the morning, cooler catches released, contents strune everywhere, they had chewed thru a can of pineapple pieces, can of baby beetroot, all product ruined, yes they learnt the hard way. Next night, all secured in Hilux tray, ha! We are annual attendees also. All food remains in vehicle at all times, food prep done on shelving in vehicle, garbage immediately into secure dedicated compartment on rear door, high & secured. Everything washed and returned to vehicle draws when finished, nothing left out to attract their attention, sure they call by, sniff around & trot off, site is always food free. Used to ground camp in Oztent but too old for that crap now, gone to Bundutop RTT, so aren't bothered in anyway what they get up to at night, it's their territory, we're just visiting.

    great idea ish. If you're nasty then the second person is bathing in filthy water. I get the filter but it still won't be 100% clean water, and water does drip on the sides of the onsuite so eventually there won't be much water left in the system. This is pretty cool if it's just one person and you're not too dirty, then you can stand in the shower to relax from the hot water for a long time.

    My ARB, which was kept in very good condition just blew a hose and left me stranded. I'd paid over $400 about 10 years ago for it. I borrowed a mate's Kings Adventurer (twin piston) and it blew up my tyres in more than half the time. Then he told me the 2024 price of the Kings--$150. The hose alone for the ARB is $50.

    Hey mate, I'm 6'4" and keen to get the seat further back (i.e. to extend the rails or mount the whole seat further back from the steering wheel). Do you know of anyone selling aftermarket rails/seats that can give additional slide? I somewhat foolishly thought it'd be an easy one to sort out, but I'm struggling to find other tall drivers who've tackled this.

  • @clp1
    @clp111 күн бұрын

    @@adam.barrettthere’s a place in Auckland that extends the rails by 50mm and apparently if you get Recaros they go back an additional 40-60mm, though they also sit a bit lower. Haven’t pulled the trigger yet, but my plan is to get the rails extended and have the seats reupholstered by a local firm (who can also carve a bit of foam out the back). I reckon that should sort me without needing the aftermarket seats.
