Yes my son has a 2005 that I have worked on quite a bit , sticky cables is what I have found , but to lubricate them properly you have to remove them .

Mario, thank you for this excellent video! I am having the exact same problem with my 2014 Toyota Sienna LE. I am going to attempt what you did and hopefully I will get the same results! Thank you once again for the excellent video Mario!

I have a 2012 Sienna XLE and it’s my driver’s side sliding door with the problem! I remember the last time I heard it latch and suck it in properly because I said to my girlfriend: okay we’re not going to open this slider on my side anymore, I don’t what’s going on! Several days later I opened it not even thinking first about my master plan and of course that was D-Day for it. I quickly realized it wasn’t making the sound at the closing attempt anymore therefore not sucking it flush and latching properly. We haven’t drove the van in close to 6 months now because of being busy and unable to figure out the problem. I refuse to go to our local Yota dealership either because I already know it’s going to be close to $1K to fix it no matter if it’s a 10 minute minor issue I would still be charged way too much! I never received recall paperwork from them regarding this issue and I bought the van new from them! Anyways: I just wanted to Thank You so much for this video you made it’s been a life saver, literally. There’s no other video addressing this issue properly like you have and I heard you mention twice that it was your first and all I can say is I hope you’ve been making more because I’m subscribed to your channel now and the darn issue with my white whale will have me coming to you. Honestly, Thanks again your video truly has saved our van because I just wanted to sell it and truthfully didn’t care what I sold it for. I’m too busy most days to have Toyota tell me they’re doing nothing more regarding the close to 1 million Sienna’s nationwide still with these recall issues and basically it’s getting swept under the rug! That came not in those words from our hometown dealership bottom feeders! Keep them coming my friend!

Why does the manual show the psd fuses as 25A and the cover for the fuse box show them as 30A?

  • @nelson1097

I believe because of the recall Toyota said they would update the covers and even attempt to the manual since they changed the fuse from 25 to 30A among other things for the sliding doors
