Hi my name is Kimberley. On this channel I simply share what I do with my pet sugar gliders and what works for me. You will get a peek into my life as a sugar glider owner and see how I interact with my gliders.
I created this channel for all sugar glider owners. If you are planning to get a sugar glider or have had them for years, my goal is that everyone will enjoy this channel. I have had sugar gliders for years and continue to learn from so many amazing sugar glider owners.
My hope is that you will be encouraged and supported through my experiences and we can all continue to learn about these wonderful pets together! I am not an expert and everything I share is only my experience.

When Kimberly said that if u put toys on the top part of the cage to make sure that if they through the toy and hit another glider that it would not hurt them it reminded me about monkeys for some reason anyways great video some time in the future I really want to adopt sugar gliders. Hi hi, I have some questions for my rehome sugar glider which I got recently. Is it not recommended to bond with them at night? As I’ve notice they are very very active during the night. I’m afraid if I let them out they will go wild. Second question is that my male sugar glider seems very active when he see me. He will come to the cage and try to force his head out and he will keep trying to use his hands to reach out to grab my fingers to his face and bite it. The action make me feel that it’s either telling me he wants to come out to play. Or he trying to grab and eat me alive. Can I check anyone have glider that react this way can share what is it that he is telling me? Thank you!

Watching gthis video after losing our Momma Glider last week and I entirely relate to yhour feelings. We dont know what caused her passing, she was great and playing one day and then she was gone. We do know she was older but never had an exact age because we rescued her, ands her son who we still have and will be 2years old in a little over a week. We are looking for a new friend for our boy Mom but its difficult to find reputable breeders in my area so we are goin to have to have one shipped which has left be just boggled finding a place to purchase and have same day shipping, which costs about as much as our new glider will cost but thats what we have to do…Hoping I am able to settle on a good breeder in gthe next few days so we can get our new friend home and acclimated and then begin introductions….

I love this and agree so much! I have a colony of 6 gliders. I believe only one is effected by less handling, otherwise the rest don’t seem to care :) 2 prefer minimal handling and one only likes being handled briefly and is only comfortable climbing on fabric not skin. I struggle with bouts of depression and sometimes it can last for weeks or even months so they have gone lengthy periods with minimal handling. They are on critter love diet, have 2 freedom wheels, plenty of safe toys, a triple CN cage (though I’d like to get another triple), and they have each others company. The risk of them ending up in a poor home and home hopping just isn’t worth it to rehome them. Overall they’re very well taken care of and have plenty of interaction between each other so I completely agree that a stable home is more important than routine handling :) Except my Mocha, she would live on me if she could😂 Even during hard times she is the one I have always made time for even if it’s only a few minutes :) You have helped me so much in my suggie mama journey 🥰 It’s been almost 4 years now!

How long does it take to bond with your sugar glider????
It depends on the gilder and you. You won’t want to rush them or make them uncomfortable but spending time with them daily is a must

Agreed. One should always research before adopting any live animals. Dogs and cats are not "simple creatures" that you instinctively know how to care for. Learn about the animals who depend on you before you adopt them.
The only way to combat the issue is to stop buying them. They're nocturnal in the true sense. How many people who buy them don't care for the fact they like darkness, and not bright false light?
That’s not gonna happen unless all exotic animals get outlawed. All we can do currently is educate.

I really can’t answer that for you. I would say keep doing your research and check out the full length videos on my channel. Keep in mind gliders live a lot longer than mice and hamsters so they are a bigger commitment
