Voland's Reality

Voland's Reality

I am Thomas Voland and this channel is dedicated to my experiences in VR/MR/AR. Playing in VR is very immersive and that's what I focus on - I hope to experience all the accessories that will allow me to feel real in the virtual world - upgrades for controllers, haptic accessories, motion platforms, gunstocks, devices for walking like in real life etc.

    @@Thomas_Voland it does exist I tried that with using different video independently from USB capture input, even though it's not full uhd it just looked a bit sharper (but I'm also watching at maxed out screen size), and yeah 1080p probably is good enough for most people but I'm still interested in getting it to 4k as I had to use a hdcp bypass anyway and that way could even use the fire tv with a uhd capture card.

  • @Kstagnet
    @Kstagnet5 сағат бұрын

    I think you're mixing up two concepts. 60fps is just the framerate of the video capture, not the framerate of the headset. QGO provides a new app launcher within your Quest home. From there, you can simply launch your games with tried and tested profiles, for example, to boost visuals or to save power, or you can edit the profiles yourself and experiment. There is an in game performance overlay which you can toggle on or off to see which parameters are working or not. I primarily bought QGO to switch off Fixed Foveated Rendering (which really bugs me) but there is still plenty of headroom to boost graphics on top of that, especially on games designed to run on Quest 1 and Quest 2. Some games are very conservatively optimised, so you can really boost them.
