Easy answer, Don’t, They get too hot and reduce lifespan dramatically, I bought a budget laptop for about 600$ and lasted four only 4 years. My current desktop which is better and cheaper is on its 6th year and still peak performancez

There only needs to be one kvm to rule them all and it does not exist. Simply thunderbolt 4 kvm with tb ins and outs in configurations like 2x1 up to 4x4 or something. This would make it everything sooooo simple and oh obviously independent switching of ins to outs and a usb hub with individually addressable ports plus an app to setup favourite combinations and a little oled touch screen or remote or something to switch quickly through favourite setups. I would pay so much money for that…

I agree, honestly. KVMs have a lot of different permutations and I just wish it's more customizable or modular - that would really be so much better for consumers

i got this same gpu and i was sceptical about going zotac, but man, both my last 2 rog strix gpus had coilwhine, my girls radeon 6800xt too, my 2080super gigabyte gaming oc also had it, but this absolutely NOTHING, runs really cool, pulls at most 240-250w while my old 3080 pulled 330-350w in most games, performs GREAT in 3440x1440p, im really amazed by zotac, they've really stepped up their quality in the last 2-3 years. on average around 10-20 fps better than my old 3080, in some cases 20-25fps. Noticeable increase. Pretty much matching my friends 3090ti in most games @3440x1440p, and thats while his 3090ti pulls 360-380w while mine casually strolls at 230-240w lol.

You should dry out Bazzite or ChimeraOS if you’re strictly using it for gaming. It’ll give you a great Steam Deck experience. You’ll just need to install a plugin for TDP control. I’m running it on my GPD Win Mini and it works extremely well, especially sleep mode

I did use Chimera OS at first. It had horrible support and I gave up. Not sure if they updated for the Ally now.

@@TechCritter I would recommend giving Bazzite a try. It’s time new kid in the block, but it works really well. I personally prefer it over ChimeraOS. They have a handheld wiki page that list current device compatibility and known issues along with current work around. The desktop mode is also a lot more functional compared to ChimeraOS. They also push updates fairly often. There are quite a few recent reviews on KZread for Bazzite on the Ally as well.

Great case. Be aware, if you plan to use the Arctic Liquid Freezer III 280mm rad...it must be mounted on the left side. It will not quite fit in the top.

I use Park Sung joystick protectors from Amazon. They work on both Steam Deck and RoG Ally sticks and make the sticks feel a lot better :]

How do you integrate the game that already been dl from steam apps and play the steam game direct on steam application knowing you are using Ally and there's armory crate? I wonder if armory crate is actually able to boot up the steam app game there?

i'm in a very strange situation. I need a universal monitor to combine Macbook and PC-gaming. I have to main candidates. 1. MSI 322upf. Amazing text clarity, KVM, Type-C + 90w. Good amount of screen space. 2. LG 38GN950. Normal text clarity, I'm really curious to try that ultra-wide experience. I have ~40% discount on this model. I need to buy ~200$ worse of KVM and docking station to connect Macbook with single cable (just want it). I've tested LG twice in the store. First attempt was awful, but second round felt better. What should I do? Should I go all-in with LG or get really universal solution? I think I'll get 3-month test period with LG and will be able to return in case I don't like it.

@3:35 Did you notice the two open slots at the top left? One being right under the RB button and the other to the left of the thin white cable (would've been under the fan on left side). Were those two unoccupied slots from the factory? I just fully disassembled mine and in the process of putting back together noticed those thinking I missed something but everything seems to be plugged in already and I noticed the top left one was unoccupied at the start of the video too. 🤔 I am so curious what those were for 😂 btw this video really came in clutch as I didn't have thermal paste for it 🙏🏻

Big fan of Tiny11, simply for removing all the windows bloat. No issues running game pass pc or steam. and I get to apply updates on my timetable, not on MS, when im in the middle of something

Can someone tell me if it has the nvidia rtx 4060... which card can it upgrade to? i place order not realizing the 4060 wouldnt cut it for video editing. And how hard is it gonna be for novice to upgrade the gpu? thank you!
