Thanks for sharing your story. But wait, it seems that after you got monetized you werent posting as consistently. I think that's something that alot of people get demontetized for. But true, dont only rely on KZread monetization. Have multiple streams of income. I run several KZread channels in different niches and the key takeaway is that for every vid posted make sure to have a related affiliates to promote, a merch store and some sponsorship. Realizing how fickle youtube system is I've thought about also posting on alternative sites like Rumble and Odysee. But Rumble has alot of toxic people and Odysee just doesnt have the traffic you get with KZread. So, for better or worse KZread is still number 1 on that front. Just always think of diversifying your income with every vid posted on KZread👍

It happened to me today. About 3 or 4 years ago I had two strikes on my channel for two videos and they said if I got a third they would delete the whole channel. I was able to get those strikes off and my channel's been perfect ever since but when that happened it made me realize just like you said that at any point in time they can for whatever reason they want delete your channel or demonetize it, so after that I started putting more effort into my game development company which I make more money at anyway + less time making KZread videos. And I'm glad I made that decision way back then because my whole channel today got demonetized out of the blue. Normally if there's a video they have a problem with they will send you a message and you can go on there and take care of the video either change it or delete it. But with the demonetization you're left in limbo, they don't tell you specifically why what specific video it's just a vague reason. So this just confirms that I did the right thing by focusing more on my game development company and less on a platform that I feel like doesn't care about content creators. They really cared they would tell you specifically what's wrong and specifically which videos so you can either a just delete those videos or change them but they don't do that. That's a terrible way to write a business, that's a not a good person to partner with, you wouldn't partner with a friend like that or other business acquaintance.

I'm pretty sure it's AI flagging these videos. I've had a channel for over 10 years and an unlisted video of my houseplants with 4 views got me flagged. Sh*t's crazy but they are pretty good about fixing the situation quickly, I will say that. Glad you got it straightened out. P.S. Found you while looking at reviews of the Sony ZV-1. This was a great story/ message. I'm so glad you got your monetization back. You popped up on my feed as recommended. It's always interesting to hear demonitization stories because it can happen for literally any reason. I'm scared for my own channel at times, but I have to continue doing what I love doing, making videos. I love the tips you recommended at the end and how you handled it. I had the exact same thing happen and had the same reaction; absolute devastation! I also did an appeal video and thankfully was allowed back into the Partner Program. It also made me realize I need to diversify. I have a great job and have to say, the whole experience made me ask myself if I were to gain huge success on YT, would I want to quit my job. It's scary to think that everything you've worked so hard for could be wiped out literally overnight. I guess no job, on or off KZread is 100% secure. I also found it frustrating that when they do remove you from the program, they don't tell you why, so you end up questioning absolutely everything. Tough situation to be in.
So glad you got your monetization back too! Yes you are right nothing is guaranteed, best we can do is keep options open. Some things are out of our control!
