Hey Andrew, I recently launched a masterclass on music business, specifically on how to virtually sell music online in creative ways. It focuses on how to build direct, recurring sales as well as getting your listeners to invest in you as an artist.. It’s free because I’m a youtuber and love to educate and help artists to go full time in the music industry, and there’s also an offer at the end to learn with me on a close basis and get the entire system plus some bonuses for a couple hundred bucks. I think you’ll love the value in the free class. Would you mind if I send it over?

It's great when a tester introduces the new keyboard that you just bought and will get in two days with their favorite songs!❤️ Unfortunately, the sound of the video is not as good as the musician's skills! Nevertheless, thank you for this very entertaining video! It could be longer, maybe 90 minutes, there are still lots of great songs! 😁

This tutorial looks like exactly what I'm trying to do. The problem: I've purchased the latest ver. of Synthmaster Player and some extension sound banks. I've installed the player following the install "wizard". I cannot figure out how to get MainStage to import the Synthmaster Player as a plugin or whatever it needs to be recognized by MainStage. Help.

That was great, thank you so much I had to come back and watch it again. Going to be playing an acoustic guitar gig and although I don’t wanna depend upon a sheet or screen in front of me, it always ends up being an evitable that you have to glance over at something to reference by.

This was very easy to understand and follow. I got a question. I got the Arturia collection and plan to use it with this software. Instead of the keys displayed by Mainstage is it possible to display the plugin itself? For example seeing the DX7 plugin on the mainstage window when performing?

@@AndrewColyerMusic it was incredible, it was at a Texas Jam concert, the line up was Tesla, Poison, Aerosmith, Whitesnake, and Boston headlining...with a bunch of other lower listed bands. 86,000 people at the Cotton Bowl, wish they still had arena shows like that. the good ole days are gone forever. I retired from live gigging 3 years ago, its tough in my area to make it anymore. still recording at home though

Hey Greg, thank you so much for watching the video, and for your kind words! This song is from the 2000 album "Gift to Gaia", which was written for American artist Kirk Reinert's work to be sold in Japan. Upon release, we toured Japan, playing the music live and at Kirk's shows with Art Vivant. We sold about 2500 units, and then it just kind of sat there for.....20 years. In 2020, after the Producer of the album passed away, I got the rights back to the music, did a re-release of the album, and started releasing some videos. Thank you so much! I will be sure to check out your work as well! 😀

Hey there, thank you so much for watching the video, and for commenting! I made this video in 2014, so it's interesting that you found it here! I use many different types of keyboards, software, and hardware, but I am not currently a Logic user, so I'm sorry, but at the present time I don't have plans to make a video describing what you're asking about. BUT thank you so much for the question, and if I do start using Logic, I will be sure to do a video on it, and comment back to you here! Thank you so much. - Andrew Colyer, New York 😀

I came across the "Prog Rock Orchestra" on Amazon (really enjoying their cover of The Court of the Crimson King) and was intrigued. There's very little info on the internet about them. Now I see that Circuline's keyboardist was a part of that band! I like the song here on this video.

I want to use iPad as a Sampler player, what a waste to use it only to read music notation, I think a musician on stage must know by memory the whole songs so he can feel what he is playing.

Hi Andrew.. Great video it helped me tremendously.. I am new to using an Ipad for live use.. Never used one before, I am old school with tons of chord changes and notes written in tablets, notebooks, song lists etc., you get the picture... It will be so nice to just carry an Ipad and a extra stand to handle all the music notation.. I was working with 2 bands as a fill in player and had to learn over 100 songs for each band in only a few days and retain all the information.. This looks like the answer to my prayers.. Thank you again for taking the time to create this video.. Take care and God bless...

Or you could just you learn your material and nail it. It's impossible to sing a song with conviction if you do not know the lyrics! Or play a song with conviction if you don't know the changes!

That's true with artists who are playing their own music with highly polished and repeated sets. However, wedding band hacks who are playing tons of different songs and requests need to have the music with them. However, I agree that a song is not truly "nailed" unless it's memorized and internalized.

Hi Andrew, do you know if the Transport controls that appear on some of the keyboard controller templates are editable as are the pads, sliders and pots.. Been trying all day to get information about setting up the transport buttons from the model I bought (Keylab61 Essential) but I can't seem to get any info from Arturia or their site about it. Needless to say it doesn't work out of the box at all other than sending note PB and MW info. Thanks.
