I know I'm too late to watch this video but seeing the comments here i wanted to write this down. Ghajni was originally made in tamil. And during those years a tamil superstar's movies was always dubbed into telugu language , because they enjoy a huge fan base in our telugu states as well. So Asin just won the best actress award in tamil not in the telugu category. Asin' s role had alot more of acting and shades to actually prove that win. Whereas Anushka's was a monotonic role ... i loved her as taani tho. So don't come at me. Also it was Asin's debut in bollywood maybe that could be justified.
Indirectly she criticised award committee..
Asin was better in Ghajini(Hindi) , than Anushka in rnbdj

Awards are not for encouragement, they are for good performance. Doesn’t matter if she had been an actress in other languages this was her first Hindi language film.

Even adah sharma in 1920 was better than anushka sharma that year. Just because she debuted in a yash chopra movie thinking that she should get the best debutent award is seriously a narrow minded thought. It's not guts it's narcissistic behaviour, thinking that "only i am the best". Asin deserved it and earned it.
